Illrigger. Ill - evil, but also sick, like infected. Rigger - someone who rigs stuff, sets up stuff using tools for a deceptive purpose. Illrigger - pretends to be sick to stay home.
I totally didn’t even notice that it was a bonus action spell too. That’s pretty great! Conjure Minor Elementals still probably takes the cake with upcasting but most DMs are going to homebrew that out anyway haha
Just recently joined a new campaign and I’m gonna be playing an illrigger 2/ warlock 1 (first vampire patron) and will be picking architect of ruin up until illrigger 7th maybe 8th for the feat. Then gonna jump back to warlock for a few levels before heading back to illrigger.
@ oh it’s been so fun building it and his backstory as well! He is a hexblood (fairy ancestry) whom was sold to hags as a baby, and after serving them for years learned his parents also sold his soul to a devil (hence the illrigger). The warlock part ties into his use of blood magic (most spells and features and such from both classes reflavored as blood magic) and my dm and I are currently working on how the Patron ties into it all. But essentially his biggest problem is that no part of him belongs to himself. His biggest goals are complete freedom, and to know true, unconditional love.
@ haha as the hags put it when he confronted them, asking why, "Power. Safety. Enough gold to fill their miserable lives. Do you think mortals care for anything but themselves?"
@ConstructedChaos me either I have ran it in dnd 2024 and 2014 and it works the same. If i was going to update it for 2024 I would just add weapon mastery the same way Paladin gets it.
@ yep! Exactly my thoughts. There was also a little clunkiness with the spell breaker interdict boon since counterspell doesn’t upcast anymore but it’s not much of a problem.

Hahaha definitely seems like the kinda person that talks a big game and then backs out at the last second playing hooky 😂
Maligned weapon is where it’s at, made a longbow architect of ruin. Between that and double haste I was a real problem.

versatile class , i'll definitely check it out . great video .
You're in for a treat, it's a powerful one!
Bro, we got a chainsaw man class in dungeons and dragons before GTA six
😂😂😂

@@kingbaby210 sounds like a fun build! The flavor alone for warlock and illrigger seems like a perfect fit

@ man, this individual’s parents were TERRIBLE people eh? Haha

#QUESTION: Is there an Illrigger beard oil???
Sadly, no. But, there is a necromancer and warlock that might help fit the bill!
Made a level 20 architect of ruin and was able to almost 1 round a nightwalker…..
Hell yeah! The Illrigger in general is one of the few martial-ish classes that doesn’t tend to fall off later.
Unfettered is low key broken
How so? It definitely seems like one of the better combat styles but am I missing something about it?
Is this Coleville’s class? They made it official?
It's on D&D Beyond, but I wouldn't call it official...
Right. It's not a core class but it's been added on DNDBeyond like the Blood Hunter was a while back.
So the revised part is from the revision that happened in 2022 or 23 not the for the revised version of dnd.
Yep! Exactly. Still, there aren’t too many issues with compatibility that I came across.
