What this means is, 100% of Historic Brawl games since the LoTR release, where Bill has been the commander, has resulted in a win for Bill. It's going straight to Hell Queue.
What an amazing throw by Imoti. Free win and he just didn't want it. So many times he decided "Nah, I DON'T want to gain life. This ring isn't a problem!"
tome of the infinite is one of my favorite cards, along with key and arcane bombardment. Tome+bombardment is surprisingly strong if you can manage to stick it.
For sure Initial investment is steep, but once you build up a little bit of a buffer of staples in your favorite colors, most new decks feel practically free. Plus, it's historic brawl, if you don't have a card, just run a pet card alternative/low rarity alternative, and you won't be punished quite like you will in standard.
@@kertgd yes, jank commanders from tier C-F running into the first sliver, atraxa, etali, sauron, and imoti with the most efficient cards in their 99 is a "success". The format with more T1 and T0 scoops than any other on arena is definitely jank friendly.
@@sniff494 That is Arena's wonderful matchmaking at this current point as they refuse to put cards like Atraxa, Etali and Imoti into hell queue. Makes zero sense to me. HB is still the best format on Arena apart from Limited in my opinion. Standard is just always trash.
Bill himself would be proud of the last game. Swindle a horse, have the most ridiculous bad luck... and then just win because your opponent had worse luck
I'm not watching any of these lotr brawl challenge videos because I don't really care for alchemy/brawl and never seen lotr, but if you did a similar concept for standard I would 100% watch and comment every video. (to be fair I already watch every standard video to completion but I like the idea of a challenge series). It's a really good idea tho and I hope people are enjoying it.
watching you play magic has become a part of my routine tho so I'll still watch a few brawl videos sometimes. if it is / or similar to / a commander I am interested in, in paper commander.
I don't think Bill is even the worst Commander in the set weirdly. He is, at the very least, a 2 drop that sometimes makes treasures. The worst for me is probably The Balrog, Flame of Udûn. 5 for a 7/7 trampler is above the curve, but the downside is so bad. Every time an opponent's legendary dies, he goes back to the Command Zone (unless you WANT them on the bottom of your library)
I hate that someone characterized a player's client obviously crashing or being bugged as "roping". Magic arena is bugged as shit, especially on mobile, but rather than hold wotc accountable we blame each other for "roping".
any idea if you will be doing a Pia Nalaar, Consol of revival deck? not for the Lord of the Lord of the Rings series, but for a general historic brawl deck?
Hey CGB, are we able to see the current list that you have remaining for the LOTR commanders you have left to do? Just curious as to which ones exactly are still there.
won't lie I was so disappointed you gave up and threw away the solve. I have a hard time believing you didn't have one proliferate, one copy spell, one something to push it over the edge. Obviously in the end it worked out but I think the solve was the content play. Still, great games as always, thank you!
Trading a "horse", getting a fog 3 times and being saved by them only to end in a disconnection, is the best game I've seen in a while.
The three Fogs in a row was Arena giving you one for each of the treasures you got off the horse trade.
Arena was like.... "So you think you are the best swindler?" "Hold my beer"

"clowned"
Can you time-stamp this?
@@pokemaniac333 i think its in the first game
holy crap I was cheering for you so hard in that game with the bill meme deck vs. the tier 1 imoti netdeck
That game make me rethink my whole common sense.

Whinning with Bill Bree seems like a nightMare. It's a Foals errand to be sure.
The opponent didnt disconnect, he was stall-ion.
I’m HOOKED on this series! Find myself looking forward to it daily. Thank you for all the great games and deck builds 😁
CGBs content currently is the best it's ever been
I loved the reaction after that great win with Bill 😂😂
I feel like the end of the Bill Ferny game was almost lore accurate

9:27 - This moment sealed the deal, blue pony dude whose name I didn't pay attention to is the best commander.
Ah yes, the day of the Tome of the Infinite Fog
This is your daily reminder to stop investing wildcards into standard and start building some historic brawl decks
For sure

Nah HB is even worse than standard for trying to play fun or jank decks
@@sniff494HB is literally the only format you can successfully play Jank in what are you talking about 💀

First turn Fervent Champion and I'm already hearing ♫ This is Mono Red, We Play Mono Red ♫
7:36 "We want them to undervalue Bill". Is that possible?

That was Kaiba hacking Blue Eyes level shenanigans there.

Some great games today. I love this LOTLOTR challenge

I think Shagrat might actually be legit.
Never give up, the opponent could always be forced to leave unexpectedly!
BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL!
*Horses rule!*
Best series on the internet.

There must be some sort of arena bug, because the triple fog happened to me too, and the odds of that happening twice are... not great
It was the swindler that disconnected him. Most OP card ever
Triple fog! ☁☁
This really is a nice turbo fog deck
Best swindle ever! 😂 Never didn't have it!

Who needs Constant Mists when you have Tome of the Infinite Fogs?
They were so scared of Bill they disconnected.
Boy that ending was hilarious
Persist with the foggy horse strategy. I really think you’re on to something.

The best win id say
We definitely take those. Lol
very fun Bill game!
You look like a younger Stan Lee 😂
How are we supposed to find these decks on Moxfield? They're not ordered and unsearchable.
That grixis game was unbearably bad jesus christ brother was asleep at the wheel 😂

26:15: Why did CGB threw away the Solve? Agent was not going to be countered by Jin anyway. A random mistake on his part, or am I missing something?
He said he was hoping to look lost so his opponent would activate the ring
rather saw the equip aggro attempt a bit longer.
Bill game was very entertaining
Cgb cut that dudes power at the end...
Foggy day
12:30 lmao
Just here for some horse tradings.
I don’t get why people think imoti is so good. I usually win when I play against it with Rusko. Lol
where's decklist ?
I mean. I think it counts. Took your shit commander against imoti and had them at a theoretical 1.
Lord of the Lord of the rings of the rings.
shouldn't have counted.
He did what to a rat?!
No one wants to play standard now.
And thank god for that standard sucks and costs too many wildcards.
Fake news, I enjoy playing 5 color control in standard
