Michaels hadn't taken a beating like that since the time those 39 Marines, 28 Navy SEALS, 18 Green Berets, 92 Army Rangers, 37 Special Forces, 33 BOPES ops, and 26 members of the French Legionaries jumped him out that night club in Syracuse back in '95!
Yeah, his last PPV as a full-time announcer. I can't remember if Stone Cold had stunned him at this point? I remember he stunned Commish Slaughter, JR, King, Vince & Santa Claus, between September & Survivor Series after he got cleared to work in the ring again by his doctors kayfabe & shoot after Owen injured his neck.
I liked that 3 man commentary team of JR, Vince & King from late 1996 to late 1997. The WWF did 3 man commentary teams all through out the 90's WM 9 & KOTR 93 & 94 off the top of my head.

What is really sad about Brian Pillman passing away was that right before all of this, he was really reaching his stride as a truly vile heel with the whole Marlena/Goldust angle. It was supposed to lead to Marlena ultimately betraying Goldust after the 30 days was over, and join Pillman voluntarily. Who knows where that would have lead, we will never know.

A lot of emotion here...one of the most iconic debuts in WWF history as well as the death of one of the greatest what if wrestlers in the history of the business, and at the place where Owen would lose his life less than two years later. Incredible.
This pay-per-view was a must see for me and my little brother. We were huge Undertaker fans and wanted to see him beat Shawn Michaels. Awesome video as usual. Really been enjoying this series since the 1st episode.
I’ve got my jam ready for this one
I took my stinkin hyena for a walk
@@Dr-Alexander-The-Great how did that go?
@@andreawest2194 kept trying to bite me, like all stinkin hyenas do
Watched this event live on TV in the UK at midnight. Was Awesome!!
"That's gotta be Kane" what a delivery by Good Ole Vinnie Mac
With all the hard work and quality u do I'm surprised the wwe hasn't hired u
I've said before and I'll say again - they're burying him with these takedowns but he's probably created more wrestling fans and Peacock/Network subscribers these last couple years than anything the WWE has done.
@@jasonmcgregor6089 ehh.........created more network subscribers by himself than the WWE have done via their actual content? Seeing as less than 1 million people watch these vids, that's a huge huge stretch lol
@@troywright359 Hence the caveat "these last couple years". How many people do you think have been inspired to purchase the Network by WWE's current product in that time period?

Why would any sane and smart person give wwf and peacuck money to watch censored/edited episodes of the attitude era?
This the 1st ppv I watched and first content from WWF from beginning to end...wow!!! it made me a fan.
It's so crazy to think that dude was my mayor. What a beast. Can't wait to continue the story! Many thanks as always!
This brings back so much memories. I remember the promo for this ppv coming on over & over. This was around the time I started watching wrestling every Monday
The metal fan in me loves the Type O Negative shirt 🎸🥁 I loved this version of the WWF. It was so different than what they did prior to 1997. To this day I miss Brian Pillman. One of my all time favorite guys' in pro wrestling.
I remember watching this live. Again thanks for your work wrestling bios 💯💯💯
Ahh maybe. You could be wrong tho idk
With sky high gas prices, Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of WWE, Vince McMahon doesn't want to lose any more money to Wrestling Bios showing these event reviews.
Vince deserves a chinlock and a nerve hold.
I guarantee you WBios has convinced more people to sign up for Pecock/Network to watch old shows than for any reason the actual WWE has given the past few years.
A chinlock AND a nerve hold. Cmon now we’re not monsters, show SOME mercy.
I miss everyone that passed on. RIP you Pro wrestlers made my childhood Rock!
Amazing Kane build up. The way they let it fall into the background with so much else going on.
I love that when it's time to plug your videos and your channel You are still basically plugging the same info as in your videos. It's all WWE content, you never beg for likes and subscribers which I don't really hate on anyway but I'm pretty sure you didn't even mention to please hit that like button and subscribe for more content in the last video I saw of yours. All you're plugging was on again, more of the WWE universe. For instance you were talking about putting the content up and which version has this fight and which version took this out and edited that and where to find these and where to see them and it's just really cool to see your passion come out through these videos. I'm just lucky enough that that only do I get to see your amazing content but this is the era I grew up as well. I'm 33 right now so I was a a young kid around the attitude era but man it was some monumental stuff and I remember a lot of this, I love that it's relevant still. Thanks to you brother. Fantastic work on yet another video
You are really, REALLY good at making these videos, and do my childhood memories justice!
Another thing. Props to whomever did that perfect chop/background music style loop of Kane's theme music.
A lot of emotion here...one of the most iconic debuts in WWF history as well as the death of one of the greatest what if wrestlers in the history of the business, and at the place where Owen would lose his life less than two years later. Incredible.
This is in St. Louis, Owen passed away in Kansas City. They may have been here on Raw, a day after Owen died.
I loved the way Shawn delivered chair shots, the top of the chair almost touches his ass on the wind up.
All your videos are amazing but I’ve especially looking forward to this one.
What a neat coincidence that this video was released on Brian Pillman's birthday
Rest in Peace Brian Pillman

This pay-per-view was a must see for me and my little brother. We were huge Undertaker fans and wanted to see him beat Shawn Michaels. I remember at this time we hated Shawn, he played such a great heel. My older brother had one of those cable scramblers that would allow you to get pay per view for free. He recorded this and brought it over to our parents house the next day. We got home from school and watched it and we were absolutely blown away when Kane came out. Such great memories.
