[SFM] - Vertigo (HL2 BETA Recreation)

Decided to have a go at fixing this old piece of trash, a lot of the animation was redone, I built the map from scratch in hammer and I unfortunately smoothed over 90% of the head bobbing I redid and ruined it.
Yay.
The scene takes place just after Alyx and Gordon are heading back from destroying the air exchange facility in an Osprey Heliplane/C-130. It crashes into the side of a skyscraper and Alyx is captured by Combine soldiers. Gordon is trapped behind a wall of rubble and two combine soldiers are sent to scout the area.

Vertigo's always a fun chapter to explore. I especially love the way those two talk, it's almost like Accursed farms' Civil Protection

Yeah, as most were. The VA for Odell also did the temp voices for citizens, so it can be assumed that he was a temp, or maybe even the mapmaker. Eitherway, it doesn't much matter at this point that valve removed it. There are so many beta recreations, as well as the free available beta itself, to make up probably 10 versions of each important beta aspect.

I'd love it if there was a side story of 2 hapless combine soldiers constantly encountering freeman and the resistance, who retain their humanity through all the ranks, completely against the canon. "Dammit George, you said if we made it here, we wouldn't have to deal with all that shit like overwatch! It doesn't even make sense! That's the same guy!" "I can't believe I got neutered for this.."

Good animation, though some of the sounds need proper sync, you can hear the beginning get cut off a bit. These two soldiers could use a little emotive movement, as well.
