Say I have a 44 Massey and want to do the conversion, but what did you use for a pulley on the alternator? Would you tell me please

G day Ty I don't know much about alternator other than they charge at low rpm.
Interesting , so regulator is built in alt?

They actually require more RPM than the generators do. The big thing with the alternators it they are way more powerful. The original Autolite generator had if I remember correctly 14A at 6V for 84W. The weakest alternator is 37A at 12V for 444W, and they get much more powerful than that. These alternators have a solid state regulator built right into them. The first ones didn't, but modern alternators all have built in regulators from the early 1970s up.
