In this tutorial I am demonstrating a beach pour. Should have been simple... I futzed a lot. We are all prone to that on occassion, no? Using metallic paints for the water and the sand give the piece a very 3D effect. I love using metallics for painting water. Using floetrol as your pouring medium on pieces like this is definitely beneficial. I don't think another pm would give you the same work time, but also, because it is self leveling, it helps the paints to blend better and to fill in the space once swiped with the palette knife. 1paint:2floetrol

Thank You for being the first person I've seen to appear natural when you paint. I love that you didn't remove any "Oopsies" in the video. If something went wrong, you kept going like we all need to do when painting. I love that you kept saying, "I'm going to leave it alone," but weren't sure if you wanted to, again, like the rest of us. It made me feel like I'm not the only one who goes through those moments. And I really love the painting. It's gorgeous. I may have come to the party a few years late, but BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!

My mother said she wanted a beachy looking pour right when I started. I'm so new so I watched a hundred videos and tried at least 15 pours. I am so new I just didn't have the heart to tell her no and that I suck...lol... finally I come across your tutorial and I'm going to try this one. Thank goodness you walk us through each step! She does want some sort of sky at the top so I will have to figure that out but hopefully after watching you I can do a decent one. I've invested so much money these last 6 months my husband has had it with me...lol... I even asked him to add onto the house😂

This IS simple & BEAUTIFUL. I really like how you incorporate the pouring methods for a more traditional lamdscape. I do this ALOT. My paints are often landscapes or seascapes made from pours with the right textures & colours. The cloudy pour I use ironcally just for skies...LOL So AGAIN this is why YOU ( & A FEW OTHERS )are the go to channel I send ppl to who ask for ideas. Because although flip cups can be taken a long way etc, they often look alot alike. People just need to use their imagination AND try some inspiration from you wonderful you tube artists who share techniques. Im NOT on Facebook so I hope you stay on RUclips! Happy Christmas!

Hi Gina, I tried your technique twice and used your swipe technique and used it on this piece, but I used Penetrol instead of oil or silicone, because I read you can resin over Penetrol and get no I’ll effects.

I am going to make these for sale and teach the method in my beachside art shack. We do drink wine and create artworks. Local artists hang their artworks in the space for sale to the tourist and local beach living natives.
I'm a beach girl and have been looking for a good and easy process. This is the best one I have seen!! What did you mix with your paint? I know at the end you mixed silicone. Also, I went on your website to order your cards and could not get it to go through.

Decoart Americana decor metallics sapphire and emerald green mixed is a great replacement for Mysterious.

Love this more now. I have bought your cards”Go make some art” I like them but Gina, you could do better by leaving some space on back for notes. Like using the oil For foam a lot of details that we forget after seeing the video. Maybe you could add a group of cards to enhance the original $39.99 and charge &6.00 for them. Love your art and the cards are a good idea, need a little work to be better. Or someone else will. 😘♥️🙏🏻🦩

If I made them so you could write on them, I would have to leave off the protective gloss coating (which costs me more) which is there to make it easy to wipe paint off. Most folks keep a notebook for notes. I can only fit so much info on there and keep it readable. If someone else wants to spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to create their own, I can’t stop them.
