Great job everyone! building startups is definitely not easy and taking the first steps to making dreams come true deserves 👏 Kinda bummed out to see Skol considering my app BarBud is very similar, but it was an honor to make it to the video interview with you Vadim! I may apply to the next batch not sure, I've been building non stop, 3 apps getting ready to go live, and have had a lot of painful struggles with AWS (finally got my db connected with datastore yesterday...been broken since before I applied to the first batch lol)...mainly need help getting ready to launch and setting up all the AWS stuff properly and code optimizations... Welp back to coding 👨💻

I'm interested to understand why you think that. Are you expecting completed well polished apps or mvps?
I hoped to see some fresh 💡 ideas
.. ideas are incubated and apps are born
The ideas don't always need to be completely fresh. They need to solve a problem, fulfil a gap in the market, and grow.
Not every idea will be something you've never seen before.
Let's take the idea Josh had for example. He's creating social interactions between people prior to events. The idea as far as I understand right now is initially focusing on people that otherwise would usually shy away from or have difficulty interacting at said events.
A social media app that actually helps people. That's fresh.
And the idea by Kay is what I would call an evergreen idea in a market that is huge. The idea may not be interesting to you but it most definitely will be to millions of parents who focus on baby/children's nutrition. A helping hand when it's needed the most.
The problem is Josh s idea can just be an extra feature in an existing app..Kay s idea is not fresh.. the point is i don't see the prospects of 10x growth..u can call them apps not startups..using flowery words don't pay the bills pal
