Hello madam, this is Praveen Bangera. I am 70 years old. You are very correct in saying that correct pronunciation is very important. I was into the habit of singing and posting on Facebook until 3 years back. One of the listeners had commented and corrected my one posted song (chu lenedo nazuk hotonko - which I pronounced as najuk). Infact, he said that he liked my voice.
Since then, I am singing very consciously.
गाने को लिखकर पढ़ने से उसका मतलब अच्छे से पता चल पाता है, की उसके बोल क्या है, और जब गाते है, तो वो बेहतर होता है उसे हम महसूस कर पाते है, वही अगर सीधे कराओके ट्रैक को देखकर गाते है, तो वो फिलिंग महसूस नही हो पाती जो होनी चाहिए। आपका धन्यवाद इतनी अच्छी जानकारी प्रदान करने के लिए...🙏

Wow, I came across your RUclips channel…(very-fortunately!)…by total-chance, Dr Chakrabarti…(and)…I’m sincerely overjoyed, tbh! I’m a U.K.-born Punjabi-Indian, who’s now fully-retired, yet ‘very-passionate’ about (self-taught) Raaga’s and singing for my pleasure and for that of those (non-judgemental) loved-one’s around me! I can neither read nor write Hindi, for example…so, it’s quite a long-process for me to get to the stage of being able to try and sing the classic Indian songs which I now love and adore! One thing which I’ve learnt today is the importance of trying to match the (natural) pitch of your OWN voice to the song and NOT struggle by trying to match the ‘high’ notes of the original singer, for example: Mohd Rafi. “Dhanyavaad,”
