If you can find an old section of chain link fence, you can roll rocks onto it and drag it behind your tractor as a rock sled. I did this once and it worked great.
Wow, your lakes have filled up so dramatically over the week 🙈🙈 loving the half circle ❤ love the colour & design of your in side tiles, well done on all your hard work Andy ,take care of your back ❤❤❤❤
That pile of red stones… I was worried the whole time watching you that there’d be another episode of back pains. Good to see you strong and unhindered by these labors.
California Girl here. Hellloo! I’m 70 now. And when I need to move boulders bigger than me, I chain them up and drag with my atv/quad. Say, take it easy out there, you only have one body. PS: love your videos showing the beautiful area you live in. 👍😍
Love your tile colour. Enjoy your rain;?here in Phoenix West valley it hadn’t rained since August until last week when it rained for half an hour or so Anna in AZ
Nice to see the dam full it’s one good thing to come out of all the rain. The landscaping will be great no doubt you will get some shade from the trees at times during the long hot summer days which will be lovely. Have a great week! ❤
Love your place and how it is shaping up. Thanks for the time you spend to share it with us. P.S. Every type of floor shows dirt when you have critters. (Small price to pay for their exuberant company). I look forward to the evolution of your sweet homestead. ☮
You are a hard working man. Love watching your decorating work. This villa is shaping up to become a beautiful place. Can’t wait for your next installment.😊
I'd be jumping into a kayak and pootling around that lake 🛶😁 Love the rusty orange of the rocks, and the tiles look nice. Hope the sun shines more for you this week! x
Wow! Lots of rain. Having adequate water stores is good. Flooding not so much. I love the floor tiles. The half circle patio will make a fabulous chill spot. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦🐕
Good to see you back Andy. Maybe you could invest in a bucket for the front of your tractor to assist with lifting those heavy rocks ! You only have one back 😊, you don’t want to do yourself an injury 😮
Andrew, I'm in the San Francisco Metro: please send that ran over here! LOL Lovely work on the garden space-happy to see you're listening to your body, you want to be able to enjoy the place once you're done ~
That patio is starting to look good Andrew and it's going to look great when it's complete. I really appreciate the effort that you put into your cinematography. You put a lot of thought into your various shots with angles, elevation and pans. It pulls everything together. Have a great week amigo!
Will be a good hang out spot- Also could be a a nice spot to park a car. Also gives you a little fire break area. Think I might build up then a layer of landscape fabric and then do some stabilized adobe soil compacted on top.
Please find the iron bar if u can so the dogs don't jump into it and get stabbed through when jumping in the lake... Edit: I guess it's too late now it's filled up That curvy wall looks awesome
So glad Istumbled upon your renamed channel, after being on a long hiatus... Hope to make it to Portugal with my 2 doggos(girls) for the coming winter in '25. It's been my dream for a long time.❤ I'd love to visit, if possible.
Must admit, the wait was worth it. Wow, that garden center 😁❤ and those tubs 👍 very nice indeed. Loved the natural deck design. Take it easy on your back though 😮 wanna keep you feeling good and healthy 😊
A gravel patio has some advantages. No measuring, cutting, nailing etc. It doesn't require a preservative every year. And you never need to sand it for splinters. Just put down a heavy weed barrier, then rake the gravel. Replace some every couple of years. Easy peasy.
Hi Andy Will and Cris, it's great to see you all. Love the crescent moon rock formation. Slightly worried about the metal pole in the water hole, hoping you remove it could cause injury to dogs jumping. Great videography all round .. best wishes from dreary England
Your design will look beautiful when it's completed. It's like a terrace isn't it? Gorgeous. Once it's established and settled it will look chefs kiss mwah! ❤
I always look forward to your posts; today’s was especially enjoyable, with all the green and water. I must say though, my back hurts watching you lift so much stone. I also love to landscape with stone, but I have a dolly which saves my back. I recommend.
So pleased the water is well replenished on the land and I am glad you changed the crescent wall and pulled it forward and outwards. It looks so much better. I can see you building a swimming pool one fine day Andrew. What a wonderful life you are creating for yourself. 🎉❤🎉.
I gather it’s the height of the rainy season ? It’s -24C here 🇨🇦 this evening. I have a fire going in my wood stove. I enjoyed the pace of this episode. I love the curve! Knowing your artistic skills, I can’t wait to see what you do in the garden bed.
We have a gravel surface that is called Lillydale Topping. It compacts, drains and is great for paths, patios and so on. I am sure that in Portugal there would be an equivalent (to what we have in Aus). It would be perfect for all your roads, paths and chill surfaces.
Good to have a rest Andy. Hey, that rock circle is going to look fabulous. Love it. Every time I see you've uploaded I hold my breath..oh yay the giraffe remains. I know, I know.. it won't be long til it's gone. The boys are looking beautiful too Andy. Take care
Looking good Andy! Watch that back with the heavy rocks. If you use the barrow again, try loading from the front and use handles as a lever. Just a thought... 😊
I've watched you move a lot of rocks the last couple of years so I chuckled today when you commented that you might not have enough for this project.😂. Thank you for your content. I really enjoy my Sunday morning coffee with your latest video.
Thank you so much for letting us get back to wandering your property and seeing what winter has to bring. The landscaping looks great and that was a big job moving all those rocks! Do you still have plans to dig out your dam to lower it?? Thanks again.
Love your patterned tile choice!❤ I am renovating a cottage built in 1949 in Vancouver Canada and chose something very similar for my kitchen and bathrooms but in a dark grey and creamy white colourway. With the original refinished fir hardwood in the living room (lounge) and main bedroom, and a bit of carpet in the small hallway and tiny bedroom-due to fund constraints. I hope to have reclaimed fir installed in the carpeted areas in future. You are such a joy to watch in these episodes and I love the mix of different aspects of caring for your land and home.
Andy I'm so worried your dogs are going to jump into the pool and that piece of rebar is hidden under the water! sorry to be a worrier, can you take it out? Also, you are amazing, how hard you work is such an inspiration x
andy get in the pond and find and pull out the piece of reebar you and us would hate to see one of the dogs get impaled on it with the way they bounce around good work
There's a channel called "Back In Portugal w/ Joaquim Conde" where he installed a simple hoist on the back of his side-by-side to do heavy lifts like this... wonder if you could rig something on the ATV or use Buk's PTO with a hoist attachment but tow the trailer with the ATV... 🤔 As mentioned elsewhere, that curve is simply gorgeous. So well done. 👍
Phew! I was about to send out a search party 😂
😂
I like the shape better as well, I can see your vision for a patio.
Yes, I wanted to ask the Q: missing in action
Levitate or gravitate. Just yet another superpower for Andy.
Well you wer missed… love this channel… just love all the colours …the tree bark the grass and the stones… I do like the tiles you have chosen…❤
If you can find an old section of chain link fence, you can roll rocks onto it and drag it behind your tractor as a rock sled. I did this once and it worked great.
That half moon shape is very pleasing to the eye

That new patio nicely mimics the shape of the cistern
Your new deck can be called a Portuguese smile.😀

Wow, that will be so lovely! What an artist you are Andrew! Kudos❤️🎶🤗🎶🦋
Nice little Beer Garden you are constructing.

Missed you past 2 weeks. Happy everyone is good and your wall with those stones is beautiful ❤
You aced the new shape. Loving it and your content. Cheers 🇦🇺
After trip to garden center I can see you on the beach looking for driftwood to construct some suitable animals for your land. 😊 Love the new patio!
Must be great to have an outlet for all that artistic talent Andrew, looking terrific, nice coloured rocks too.
Love your place and how it is shaping up. Thanks for the time you spend to share it with us. P.S. Every type of floor shows dirt when you have critters. (Small price to pay for their exuberant company). I look forward to the evolution of your sweet homestead. ☮

Beautiful tiles in your house
You are a hard working man. Love watching your decorating work. This villa is shaping up to become a beautiful place. Can’t wait for your next installment.😊
Just leave the arc as an artistic feature - it looks stunning, and make a patio somewhere else !!!
That rock mini wall is gorgeous!
Lovely tile. You really have a good eye for design.😊
I'd be jumping into a kayak and pootling around that lake 🛶😁 Love the rusty orange of the rocks, and the tiles look nice. Hope the sun shines more for you this week! x

You are very good at building rock walls. I wasn't sure of your intentions until the end. Very nice. It matches the other walls. 😊

WOW ADORE YOUR FINAL IDEA OF LANDSCAPING THE GARDEN. ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅Heavy work but looks so natural.

I like the brown tiles, won’t show the paw prints too much either. A good choice.
