GDP massaging is a reason for mass immigration - so is pensions. Without something drastic happening to the fertility rate, the UK has a serious issue with numbers of working people per pensioner. Forget missing £300 for your winter fuel payment. The pension system as we know it will need a major upheaval. Expect to be working in your 70's by 2050.
