The first time I heard this song was when I was driving back home after meeting with the funeral home following my husband's death. There are no coincidences. My husband fought his rare carcinosarcoma with grace and strength. He is now standing in the sun, he fought his fight and his race is run. His pain is all a million miles away!
I lost my wife Jenny just two months ago. We were married for 55 years and knew each other for 5 years prior to that. What a loss! I cant even begin to explain. I just wanted to go and be with her and prayed to God for that to happen. Then I heard this song, that ministered to me like nothing ever before had. We lost our daughter Maribeth two weeks ago when she was hit by a car at an intersection and killed. She was only 22 years old. Our pain is still new, our wounds fresh, and our weeping nonstop. Sometimes life may be tuff. You will feel like no one cares for, like no one loves you. You will also feel like life has no meaning, like life has no purpose for you. Just remember, God allowed Job to be tested, he is allowing you to walk through difficult times just to test your faith. The times when you face difficulties and you feel like you can't go on, those are the moments when God is closes to you. I lost my 9 year old daughter with severe autism in a tragic accident last May 2021. She fell from our balcony down to the street. My husband died July 30, 2021, one day before our 38th wedding anniversary. I "celebrated" our anniversary planning his funeral. He received the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and his sins were absolved. I have great hope that he is a saint. I can't lie next to him at home, so I go to the cemetery, put a blanket down and lie down beside him. On my phone, I play hymns and weep. I played this song today.

There are no such thing as coincidences, God has a way of healing us And our loved ones have a way of sending us messages. MaryRose died 6 months ago, this video came out around the same time. MaryRose had scleroderma. It’s a horrible disease. It literally caused her to self amputate body parts. She saw wound surgeons every week for 6 years. I am devastated by her loss. She was in such pain every day for 25 years. It was horrible watching her die, but courageous watching her live for our son’s and for me. She fought like a Lion to stay here for us. The last 6 months of her life were horrible for her. I know she prayed that God would take her. She was ready to go. I just never would have been ready to give her up. I try to visit her grave every month. I’d go more often but I am pretty sick too and wheelchair bound right now. I can’t just go to my car and go. I need a driver & someone to put my wheelchair in the car and take it out when I get there and repeat the process to go home. The last time I went, I layer flowers on her grave. I was so sad, and so angry at God for taking her from me. I had to stop crying. I turned on what was or is WPLJ in NY. I hadn’t listened to the station in years, and had no idea that it had changed formats from pop to Christian music. As we pulled away from the grave as I quietly sobbed. The first song I heard was Scars in Heaven. I know MaryRose sent it to me so I’d understand and maybe not be so hard on myself for crying and not be angry at God anymore. I listen to it, and it really helps. It is our story. It won a Grammy. If you knew MaryRose, please listen to this. Yes you may cry, but you will also make sense of her death. Thank you to the Casting Crowns, and thank you MaryRose for sending this to me at the perfect time. No one will ever know me the way you did and no one could ever love me as much. Especially God's love for us, His love that took the cross for us, and loved us so personally that He got involved with us at the deepest level. I recently discovered this song only because my 60 year old sister passed away only a few months after her husband passed . I lost my sweet Pam after her 19 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was an amazing woman. Anybody she met going thru breast cancer treatment she would talk to them, let them know what she went thru, and maybe ease their worry. She and I both spoke to medical students at the University School of Medicine here in our town for them to get the perspective of someone going thru treatment. It's been a very rough couple of years. The first time I heard this song I broke down. The line in the song that gives me comfort is "I know you're in a place where all your wounds have been erased". She lost all her teeth, chemotherapy causes bone loss. She lost her hair so many I lost count, and it finally quit growing all together. Cancer ravaged her body. But now I know she's in God's hands, she's not in pain, she has her strength back, she has her beautiful curly hair back, she is no longer in pain. I can't wait to stand in the sunlight with her again.

My Sister died in June of this year and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I know she is in the arms of Jesus Christ and she is not suffering anymore. I miss talking to her every day. This truly is a beautiful song for those who have lost someone, it’s been a lot losses over years for me. But the good news I know my sister is with Jesus Christ.

We lost our daughter Maribeth two weeks ago when she was hit by a car at an intersection and killed. She was only 22 years old. Our pain is still new, our wounds fresh, and our weeping nonstop. Through it all, we know that our daughter is with the Lord, who she loved so much, and he is looking after her. His love reigns supreme.

I lost my 9 year old daughter with severe autism in a tragic accident last May 2021. She fell from our balcony down to the street. We rushed her to the nearest hospital but she passed away after 2 days. Until now the pain still lingers. I feel that a part of me has already died although I know that life must go on. MaryRose died 6 months ago, this video came out around the same time. MaryRose had scleroderma. It’s a horrible disease. It literally caused her to self amputate body parts. She saw wound surgeons every week for 6 years. I am devastated by her loss. She was in such pain every day for 25 years. It was horrible watching her die, but courageous watching her live for our son’s and for me. She fought like a Lion to stay here for us. The last 6 months of her life were horrible for her. I know she prayed that God would take her. She was ready to go. I just never would have been ready to give her up.
I try to visit her grave every month. I’d go more often but I am pretty sick too and wheelchair bound right now. I can’t just go to my car and go. I need a driver & someone to put my wheelchair in the car and take it out when I get there and repeat the process to go home.
The last time I went, I layer flowers on her grave. I was so sad, and so angry at God for taking her from me. I had to stop crying. I turned on what was or is WPLJ in NY. I hadn’t listened to the station in years, and had no idea that it had changed formats from pop to Christian music. As we pulled away from the grave as I quietly sobbed. The first song I heard was Scars in Heaven. I know MaryRose sent it to me so I’d understand and maybe not be so hard on myself for crying and not be angry at God anymore. I listen to it, and it really helps. It is our story. It won a Grammy. If you knew MaryRose, please listen to this. Yes you may cry, but you will also make sense of her death. Thank you to the Casting Crowns, and thank you MaryRose for sending this to me at the perfect time. No one will ever know me the way you did and no one could ever love me as much. Especially God's love for us, His love that took the cross for us, and loved us so personally that He got involved with us at the deepest level. We could never ask for anything greater, and to somehow make it this incredible love even better, He gives it away for free. I recently discovered this song only because my 60 year old sister passed away only a few months after her husband passed . It was a very emotional time and this song touched me in a way that not only brought gut wrenching pain but also joy knowing they are no longer in pain and that I will see them healed and brand new when it's my final days .

We loved each other so much and enjoyed laughter and were about to retire and treavel. I don't know why God took him and not me when we were maybe a foot apart. He went to be with the Lord immediately and I had cuts and a concussion.

I lost my sweet Pam after her 19 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was an amazing woman. Anybody she met going thru breast cancer treatment she would talk to them, let them know what she went thru, and maybe ease their worry. She and I both spoke to medical students at the University School of Medicine here in our town for them to get the perspective of someone going thru treatment. It's been a very rough couple of years. The first time I heard this song I broke down. The line in the song that gives me comfort is "I know you're in a place where all your wounds have been erased". She lost all her teeth, chemotherapy causes bone loss. She lost her hair so many I lost count, and it finally quit growing all together. Cancer ravaged her body. But now I know she's in God's hands, she's not in pain, she has her strength back, she has her beautiful curly hair back, she is no longer in pain. I can't wait to stand in the sunlight with her again.

When this beautiful song was released last year, I must have listened to it a thousand times since. Many, many years ago, my wife, my first love was stricken with cancer and I was by her side while she was slowly losing her fight to live I stepped out to get something to eat and check on things at home when I received a call on my cell phone from our daughter telling me that she had passed away. I rushed back to her side to kiss her goodbye. 💘💘 "If I had only known the last time would be the last time I would've put off all the things I had to do I would've stayed a little longer, held on a little tighter Now what I'd give for one more day with you" Nina still lives in a special place in my heart. ❤❤
Today is my husbands Birthday. This song has been such comfort midst the tears every year. He passed almost 8 yrs ago 1 week short of our 47th anniversary. He slipped away just after i left hospital to get my diabetic meds. Wish i had not left him for a second. But he had told my daughter he did not want me to be there when he left as he knew i would fight to keep him here.😢😢❤❤❤

My Sister died in June of this year and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I know she is in the arms of Jesus Christ and she is not suffering anymore. I miss talking to her every day. This truly is a beautiful song for those who have lost someone, it’s been a lot losses over years for me. But the good news I know my sister is with Jesus Christ.
