I'd say The male character of From blood and ash is super protective and will kill whoever get in his way or look at poppy wrong. By Jennifer L Armentrout
Desmond Flynn from Laura Thalassa's TheBargainer! Callie can generally take care of herself but that doesn't stop Desmond from literally destroying kingdoms for her!
You got me again. Up until 4am reading Twisted Emotions. But very good. Not sure about the rest of the series because of reviews but this was great. You are two for two! Thank you.
Raze by Tillie Cole was so dark! I think I’d be interested in the second one now that I have more dark romances under my belt but as one of my first ones it was a shockkkk 😂
That whole series is fabulous, read them in order though and the characters appear throughout. Also her new series is a shocker (Deadly Virtues) - really dark! Try "The Lord of London Town" as well.
This is such an interesting theme! Thanks for all your recommendations :) usually a quiet subscriber & I'll watch all your recommendation videos but I really wanna say I TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS so much. I start to read a lot more & it's so fun to hear your reviews about the books. Love them 💖
Serena Akeroyd and Danielle Lori's Mafia series both definitely give off those touch her and you die vibes. Ditto for Sam Mariano's Morelli Family series-excellent but Very Dark. I love Kathleen Woodweiss. She's so underrated these days -but she's a 👑.
I have not read Shannon though because I usually can't deal with a "red shirt heroine " (too stupid to live). Love Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series. Raphael definitely gives the over protective vibes. I just couldn't get as into the Psy-Changling stuff as much. I also just did Not care about all the "Psy political drama". Suzanne Wright's Dark in You series-Knox is like the personification of this trope.
You might like Christine Feehans shadow rider series has this same trope but focuses on the Ferraro Crime Family who ride shadows and are hired hitmen and find their perfect match
O. M. G. I LOVE HIM. Rina Kent who is the author, spoilt every other book for me since I read Deviant King. I love him. This is a male lead I want to read in other books too however they never meet my expectations unfortunately. If you got some books with a character like Aiden please recommend.
@@nyahharden6786 gaaaal, of course I read his book. Baaam. We definitely know where Aiden got his possessiveness from. But damn, Rina Kent writes amaaaaaaaazing books. You got any other recommendations?

@@PeaceLoveBooksxo Have you read the 'sterling shore' series? It's not all alpha male but still one of the best series I have come across. Maybe you can make a video about the series? Idk I just want to discuss those books with someone 😁
I loved Twisted Emotions along with Twisted Pride and Bonds from Cora Reilly. All The King's Man Duet was also one of my favorites. (The Kingmaker & Rebel King ) by Kennedy Ryan
Great video! I have just discovered the author Emilia Finn in the last week. She's Australian, but her books could be set anywhere - no mention of cities etc. I have just started the "Checkmate" series with "Pawns in the Bishop's Game". It's very dark with a possessive, bad-ass hero (Kane) who would do anything for Jess. He's not on the right side of the law...Think mafia, murder, drugs etc. I gave it 5 stars. Book two "Till the Sun Dies" is the story of Jess's sister (trying not to spoil), but is not quite as dark, but might have triggers for some. It's unrequited love for the hero, as Laine is his lifelong friend - he would protect her with his life. The main characters from book one appear and you get more of their story too. This author has all her books in KU, so I like that. From what I've read of the author's blurbs, her books all have bad-ass heros that would do anything to keep men away from not only their woman, but their sisters.
i have forever in your embrace and so worthy my love by kathleen e woodwis and you are making me want to actually pick them up but i hear so many mixed things about her books
Omg you only read the first two books to Psy-Changeling series lol. Raze was a love interest to the main female in the beginning, it also falls into fated mates. Silver Silence by Nalini Singh is also a good one, and Heart of Obsidian is also one. There is many in the Psy-Changeling series that have an protective hero. My other favorite is Bewitched and Bewildered series by Alanea Alder. The got protective heros in the series Added some books to my tbr lol
OH MY GOD I just found out about the Psy-Changeling series last month and I am totally obssessed! Faith and Vaughn are my favorite couple until now tho
Ooh, if you like "fated mates" type books then I highly recommend fantasy romance books by Sherrilyn Kenyon if you haven't read them yet. She has this whole Dark Hunter Univers, which combines 6 series, and consists of nearly 50 books at the moment. And it is all about fated mates)) But it is more than just romance it has very complex storyline with Greek Gods, shape shifters, immortals and all that jazz))
Overprotectiveness makes me want to slap somebody. Have no problem with that when the heroine is dominant, too, and can think and speak for herself, and stand her ground. Liked the Phoniex Pack series.
I've recently read Ravage by Tillie Cole which is in the same series as Raze and I fell IN LOVE with the story--I definitely think Valentin (hero) is pretty protective and the romance is really sweet (even though it's definitely a dark romance haha).
One recomondation I can think of is judgement road by christine feehan. Her torpedo ink series. A group of biker brothers. Has major gane vibes. But also strong family ties. First 3 books available on hoopla. 5 hours into the audio book right now
Please do Corrupt by Penelope Douglas. This entire series (Devil's Night) is a bit.........questionable? Idk, but would love if you put out your thoughts about these books.
If you really want some of this type you should try the lux and origin series by Jennifer l. Armentrout I like the origin series better but its a spin off of the lux series so if you want to understand it to the fullest you should read that first hope you enjoy ❤
Kerrigan Byrne's entire Victorian Rebels series- The Highwayman, The Hunter, and The Highwayman are the original 3; however, all the books that come after are separate series but tangentially related. I'm currently reading the Goode Girls series- on more to go; hope to get it to read over the holiday weekend. The thing I like best about Byrne's heroines is that they don't actually need rescuing, but they let 'the hims' play hero to make them feel like they're actually doing something- and the guys know that's what the ladies are doing.😘
Shadow Riders series by Christine Feehan is a good mafia one 5th book just came out regarding the Ferraro crime Family who can ride shadows love this series!

I would definitely recommend any Alessa Torn books for anyone looking for more “you touch her you die” books in the fantasy romance genre. They are very powerful and sassy women who can hold their own and even turns it on its head with a few “you touch him and you die” which I thoroughly enjoyed! Highly recommend giving it a try!

You should check out the O'Malleys series by Katee Robert! 6 books that all revolve around siblings in a mob family. All have protective heroes. Tbh when you shared Twisted Emotions I thought it was actually The Marriage Contract (#1 in the series) because it sounds very similar but in the O'Malleys they do have a conscious lol
