I hate SRAM brakes so it made me laugh when you said you prefer those! Might actually get some to replace the brakes on my wife's bike.
😂 yeah I would have to say I like these a bit more than my sram guide brakes, switch from dot fluid to mineral oil could be another factor as to why I like the proE4 brakes better as well🤔
I play ur outro song while going downhill, gives me a bit more power 🤙🏼
Haha so sick, might have to give it a try myself 😂👊
yeah interested in the brakes review, let us know more detail. when you said the brakes super responsive, is it like on/off feeling of shimano XT ? no modulation?
the pads, are they the same as shimano pads? I know that TRP is basically using shimano pads.
No doubt! I'll do a thorough review in about a month or so, I just really want to put these brakes through a beating to see how they hold up and then I'll give my overall opinion about them. when I say they are super responsive I mean that they bite the rotor instantly, very similar to the shimano XT brakes I would say. With my sram guide brakes they have a more "squishy" feeling to them no matter how many times I bleed them. Sram brakes do take dot fluid instead of mineral oil so that could be a factor as to why they are more squishy. These pro E4 brakes use brake pads very similar to the shimano NO4C-MF, hope that helps!
I bought some for my hardtail commencal, but the rear brakes to set properly and the rub on my disk brakes, tried everything don’t know if I have to get a different brake bracket or some washers idk . Need some help 😅
I would fist check if your rotor is trued (straight and aligned) and if it is then you should be good. A little trick I do is loosen the caliper bolts so that the caliper is loose, then I spin the wheel fast and slam on the brakes and keep holding the lever tight. As I have the lever tight I then tighten the caliper bolts and that usually helps with the rubbing. Cheers🤘🤘
how tall are ya? and what size is the bike?
I’m 5’6 and my bike is a size medium 😁🤟
Is your shocks psi right for your weight? Seem a little stiff?
Yeah, I usually run it between 90-100 psi, to be honest with you I’m not a big fan of the forks. They get the job done but I should probably upgrade to a fork more designed to my riding style, I think the suntour forks I have right now are a trail fork with about 140-150 mm of travel. So we’ll see if I upgraded them in the near future 😅🤘
@@GabeGarcia ...if your running 27.5" tires jenson bike shop has some rockshox 62% off from $579 to $219...
