gotta add my $0.02, cuz I been watching this video for about a week now (luv it); and keep in mind you young bucks that I am 40 and a DC native all my life, with that being said, the first round was all about support, the g-walka dude had all the support in the world, the song was hot as well, but the crowd got into it which pretty much contributed to him winning the first round, not saying he wasn't good, but them with the "hooaahh" after every verse and throwing hats n ish helped, that is all
Beat ya feet is a live band culture...you have to go to a show to appreciate it.

At the end of the day its all about footwork. Why do you think G Walka went and dapped him up. Get downs footwork surpassed G Walkas. Not only that but ima go out on a limb and say Get Down can do what G Walka did in his sleep. I dont know if I can say the same for G Walka. They both are talented

straight up memphis people and people who live near memphis can and will relate to the dance cuz its big over there. dc is just a whole different breed. we dont have gangs. we have hoods. no affiliation with anyone else. every hood is its own people. our own shoe game. nyc known for air force 1s we known for nike boots and new balance. we original aint nothin weak or fake about dc. we even got our own music. straight real. no dis to memphis. i mean this battle of course gon be bias tho
@mfe1896 dc always up there...the reason we may not rank is because its not a large city. larger population means larger amount of murders committed...for dc to be a small city we got murder capitol in 2000. most cities dont get that number more than once.

@mfe1896 all theses new bands im unfamiliar with. some of the older bands fell off cuz go go spread out to maryland so alot of people mixed in and forreal forreal ion know who is from where. but there was a time where most dc bands were just dudes from their own hood. who had some music talent and started a band. trust and believe go go is straight hood music and was for the hood. if you listen to a go go song in most of it they shoutout people hood. aint nothin soft about it.
G-Walka won. Other dude wasnt slaw doe. That mane had some nice moves too. I might be bias toward jookin doe. It's just way more gangsta. That BYF style would be killer in those NY competitions though.

The event was in Memphis...so it was bound to be biased. Only people who was cheering for get down were the other BYF kings. This probably the only video I seen where the BYF dancer beat jookin
@mfe1896 i ain gon hate. i seen the g walka video where he danced in what looks like a dance studio. he got skills. dr rico got charisma. he a fool wit it. its like playin ball wit a dude who cookin...while laughin. dr rico got mean charisma wit it. g nerd..well for some reason they wont play that video. shonte was nice wit hers but females gon always bring it and both of em did. i saw the promo video and dude wit da white shirt did kill it. i grown to accept jookin. its nice.

i ain hatin on no city. memphis and dc made dancin HOOD. straight up. i looked up the stats..memphis nor dc is weak. memphis got just as much of a chance of gettin killed in dc as dc does in memphis. so its no point of even discussin that. as far as dancin...dc was bold enough to come DOWN to memphis. it takes heart to go into someone territory. most people wan meet in a central location or somethin.

as far as what you sayin bout dc and memphis. dont speak on bias...check the stats. i went on wikipedia. dc had the higher murder rate per 100,000 people than memphis. crime overall may be memphis. but murder rate per 100k they labeled dc higher.

@mfe1896 chances are if you stayed in richmond and came to dc...you prolly didnt go to any hood place. the minute they see ya tags or you they would know you not from the city. you prolly went to downtown dc...chinatown or somethin. you prolly was in southern maryland or montgomery county and didnt even know it.
