    First off, that's one fine look'n t-shirt you're wearing Todd. Not quite as nice as your as your t-shirt, but good look'n all the same😁. I'm with ya on them stupid gas cans, I alter the ones I have. Some knuckle dragger worried about fuel vapor leaking into the atmosphere.
    You and Evan have done a great job showing off the 17VS-C capabilities and usefulness. I can totally agree with your thoughts on the conveyor, if you were loading into totes or the dump trailer it would be great. Loading into the smaller trailer like we both do, I think sliding it off the table into the trailer would be a better fit. Job well done fellas, I'm sure Norm and his dad are very happy with the content y'all made showcasing that fantastic machine. Take care my friends.

    That’s certainly a great vertical machine Todd. You’re right, it’s a good fit for someone working alone. I would add, however, that a horizontal machine with a box wedge and pullback arm gives a single operator the same advantages. I could not continue to do firewood without my 22-28 box wedge machine. Like your vertical, it takes most of the physical effort out of the process. “Keep moving” my friend… hope to see you at Bunyan!

    Those huge rounds make my back hurt just looking at them, even with a log lift they still require some muscle to move them, so much wood in a round though.
    I went thru and replaced all my gas spouts with the same ones Evan showed too. I like the longer ones they offer, as the shorter ones with a full gas can will still make me cuss and spill a bunch of expensive non ethanol fuel on the ground 😂😂
    The VSC you have is also now my 2nd favorite color option... Have you seen that hilighter yellow they have ?🤩🤩🤩 I'm excited to see it all put together.
    I also love the second wood yard, how you're incorporating the totes and stacked rows. I may have to borrow that from ya in my next location too.
    Since getting my vertical splitter, I now also separate barkless form the nicer stuff. It's amazing how nice a vertical machine can make wood, isn't it?
    I too agree If I could buy again I'd get a vertical without the conveyor... or if the conveyors were about 3' longer ( for my operation) it would be able to fill my big dump easier. Vertical is definitely easier on the back and super easy to operate. That's a great machine, and you've showcased it very nicely. I value your videos showing how "it makes life easier "

    Nice to see "fair" advertising. Wolf ridge machine wearing "Eastonmade" T shirt. Well done.

      You know it! You’re the first person that mentioned that and I told Evan that in the video when he come out wearing his hard-working man T-shirt. I’m a firm believer and letting the product sell itself if it’s good and not having to throw dirt in order to make yourself look better. Both great companies deserving advertisement for sure! Thanks for watching 👊🏻

      Yeah, having his opportunity has been awesome and that’s kind of what I came up with while having it! I do love the vertical platform for working alone and for making precision splits. You just can’t go wrong with it. Thanks for watching.👊🏻

    I think just about everyone hates the mandated gas cans. Around here, at farm auctions, the old cans sell at about the same rate as strung pearls. 😂

      Yeah I’m one that grabbed older style cans whenever I seen them! Kinda stockpiled but I’m out of the old style nozzles now😂 Thanks for watching Bill👊🏻

    I agree with vertical, far superior!

      @toddsoutsideagain  3 месяца назад

      Well, I can’t speak for a commercial grade horizontal. All I can say is for our operation and the kind of splits that we like to produce vertical is for me. I’m not saying that I won’t eventually have a horizontal because of the price difference. These verticals sure do make life easy on the back though.😂 commercial grade horizontals are awesome from what I hear. But you just can’t get efficiency out of them just being one man. You waste their capabilities being by yourself thanks for watching Martin.

    What does a splitter like that cost ?

    • @toddsoutsideagain
      @toddsoutsideagain  3 месяца назад

      Hello Gary. You can check Wolfe Ridges website for all the current prices. I hate to give numbers in the comments because the vids go on forever and it will be misleading to others as time goes on. Plus I’m not actually sure what the current price is😂 I will say that this splitter is pretty much the top of the line because it has everything. Log lift, conveyor, EFI Honda engine, oil cooler, electric start. It definitely has all the upgrades. I will say that at the time of this video I believe this splitter is just North of 15k. I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻

    Hey brother . Do you heat your house with wood and do you use a chainsaw chain grinder ? That's some nice looking firewood buddy !! Oh and now I have strong firewood saw , my Stihl Ms 500i R is now ported and I will be able to get trees down for firewood . And I do artwork and I sell my art to pay for the gas and other things to get me to the wood holes !

      Hello Bryan. No I do not heat the house with firewood. I do heat the garage in the cold of winter. I would love to put an outside boiler in someday. I hand file all my chains. I use the stihl 2 n 1 sharpener most of the time and just use a single hand file when the chain hits metal or rock and really needs brought back. Congrats on the saw! I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻

      Well, even though I believe it might be the machine for me I am grateful to have had the opportunity to demo it. With that being said it is not mine and I do feel bad about putting too many hours on it. It really opened my eyes to a whole new platform!! I appreciate you watching Todd👊🏻
