I'm referring to the endless anti London drivel that you can regularly come across on social media (I guess anti NY / Paris / all large cities) which are filled with negativity. Nobody should be given a false sense of security, and the phone snatching thing needs sorting quickly, but it feels as though crime and negativity is pushed in our faces more than positivity. In fact, the algorithms on social media platforms are programmed to do just that. Id rather have my phone snatched, or have my pockets picked, than be shot, and crime rates have been higher in the past than now. So it's great to watch Hannah's videos, which show a nice, balanced reality.

We were there yesterday. Selfridges was like a bauble apocalypse but it was worth it to see the trees. New Bond Street was ❤, especially Dior and Cartier. Storm Darragh didn’t dampen the Christmas spirit on the street 🌟

Having the lights up is great for public morale and business. People coming out for a night to see it all. Even buying food from a street vendor or a coffee from a cafe helps the economy. It keeps crime down. And it's just plain good fun

I was in London last week. Fab weather, had drinks outside! So festive. I did see the Carnaby Street decorations, and was so disappointed. Normally they are so colorful. The first night, going on 20 hrs and no sleep, we had dinner at the Coppa club, with a beautiful view of the Tower bridge. That was a great start to get the Christmas feeling. 🎀

I went to see Ultravox at the Palladium 2 weeks ago and got to Green park around 5...I spent 3 Glorious hours walking around , Magical ...went this week and where there are gaps in decorations in Old Bond St someone got there Check books out , Channel has a HUGE Bow and light Drapery...Van Clef , boodles all lit up now

Not so keen on Carnaby St or the green lights on Liberty .. made me think of Wicked , but the Regent St angels were stunning . 18:31 I was in London a few years ago and did the “tourist thing,” and jumped on one of the tour buses and was completely blown away by Regent Street, with those awesome street lights and a feeling of such glamour and sparkle. I finally got to see for myself Christmas in London in December 2023 but wow it was cold and I must have brought the snow -was surprised to see snow when I was there. The lights and the atmosphere was great and glad after all those visits to London that I got that chance ! Oh the rain reminds me of practically every time I went to NYC to see the lights so it was uplifting to see all the light decorations! Busy is always good in a way as more people on the sidewalks creates warmth 😂. Soup in a tumbler is my go to being out in the cold metro area ❤
