Hi Craig, nice ranking. Speaking in Tongues, The Hurting, Porcupine and Power, Corruption... would definitely make it on my list, too. Armatrading is a nice surprise. Like her a lot. Check out Back to the Night and Shouting Stage if you didn't already. Great albums. Greetings
I'm with you, Craig: Joan Armatrading not mentioned I lot, and it's a great catalog. I showed her in my Female Artists Thread video. Colour By Numbers and Madonna's debut never get old. Your Silent Face, a top New Order track for me as well. Great showings! 😎🎶
My Top 5: Kim Carnes - Cafe Racers Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) & Touch [tie] Carly Simon - Hello, Big Man Elton John - 2V40 (Too Low for Zero) Olivia Newton-John - Two of a Kind soundtrack
Another great list with some shocks! No Eurythmics (I practically lived and breathed Sweet Dreams and Touch, BOTH released in 83...one of the best years for music EVER), and no B-52's Whammy! Surprising...that's all...I kept waiting for these...and REM's Murmur. To each their own! Radical opinion...If New Order added Blue Monday to PCL...even better 😉. Can't wait for 84!
@@electricavenuemusic9282 I only own 1 REM and that’s document. Dont worry Eurythmics and B-52’s will make more appearances. There’s a lot that I wanted to show but with only 14 per year it’s hard. I may do one at the end that’s all honorable mentions.
@@CraigsVinylPlethora Ah so REM not really your "thing"...that's cool. Eurythmics surprised me since you liked In the Garden so much. Touch is my favorite of theirs. Love your lists...Toy Dolls...didn't see that coming!
I have that Culture Club album i didnt buy it and don't know how i got it but I've never listened to it, it's been sitting in my "to trade" pile for about 6 years

Ummmm hello Mr. Muscles 🔥
So many great albums you referenced. The 80s is my favorite decade for music.
@@daniafterdark the 80’s is the best! Muscles? 🤣🤣

That New Order album's artwork is, like, perfectly obliquely relevant to the music inside as well as probably the whole of the 80's, really
🧠🤔🔥
Agreed!
My 83 list of my og vinyls are Madonna, Culture Club, Talking Heads, B-52s (my fave album). I need to pick up some!!
Oh I also have the 12” single Duran Duran is there something I should know,

Did you know if you slow down the Burning Up 12” to 33+ it sounds like a lot Alison Moyet?
@@moogie242x I did not know that. I don’t have the 12 for Burning up. Now I kinda want it so I can try that!
3 O'Clock were Salvation Army.
@@vinylrichie007 that’s it! I remembered after i finished recording this.
@@CraigsVinylPlethora Very good list and Echo and the Bunnymen is a great pick.
