40:20 this is hilarious how when you need to use gravity gun on many occasions you just forget about its existence, but the one time when it's not gg you're only using it, lol
Watching you play through HL2 was an absolute blast! I caught some of the first stream but had to stop watching, so I caught myself up on the vods. Very cool to see you go through it for the first time so much later and really see how well the pacing and game design holds up even on a first playthrough.
the fact that the game holds so well 20 years later (judging by 99% of modern playthroughs) disproves valve's own self imposed idea that the game has to be revolutionary or there's no point. there absolutely is. interesting likable characters, solid plot, cool setting and well polished and tuned up gameplay and you're good to go. hl2 is relatively short, but it is so densely packed with unique content, that it feels like a 50 hour adventure instead of 10-20.
