AWESOMENESS once again. 425 wb on the CP, The Amtrak's plus horns at Waterford Ave yet plus so mcuh more. Enjoyed and have a great rest of your day.(Steve)
@@StormySkyRailProductions Thank you so much Steve! Your stomping grounds! Back when things were so interesting around. You all have a great week and a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Ive been living by this line ever since I was a kid., so ive been pretty familiar of this lines crossings (especially in Brookfield and Elm Grove) and the trains that run through here. Gotta say, seeing Brookfield roads crossing back in 1997 is quite interesting. Sounds like the bells were replaced shortly before the signals were replaced sometime between 97 and 2000. Nice catches!
Great collection of '90s classics, Gordon! I took up railfanning around 10 years later and by that time the Empire Builders no longer included the freight/mail service. Nice to see the B32-8W in its as-delivered "Pepsi Can" scheme on the Hiawatha, too! Also, never knew Waterford Ave. before it was a "quiet" (no horn) crossing!
@@BadgerlandRailVideos Thank Yao very much! I loved those units in the Pepsi can scheme, they just don’t look the same in the plain grey they wear today. As I watched this I wondered if Waterford Ave crossing even existed today. Thanks for clearing that up.
@@dhdisprsmith2296 Yes it very much does and is still a popular train-watching spot in Milwaukee; I shot a video of the 2816 there when it was on its tour en route to Mexico in May of this year.
@@dhdisprsmith2296 Waterford avenue's crossing is still there. All that's changed are newer signals (installed in the early 2000s) and the implementation of the quiet zone there. Sounds like the signals in these recordings are bell-less. Not that uncommon for signals installed by CP during this era.
So this was how milwaukee rails was like around this time
@@Kkmssjdjdk_offical Yes as they are today. The mains split between here and Elm Grove.
Nice Leslie RS5T-FF
Great video and cool view of Amtrak. (fast running too!) The GT locomotives are so clean! Great view and landscape as well. Well done.
@@MLWQC Thank you so very much! It was definitely a great time to be trackside!
Fantastic stuff! Thanks for uploading these gems Gordy.
@@trainz675 Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks so much! Yea, so much has changed over the years, it's hard to keep up with all the changes.

@@dhdisprsmith2296it still exists and is a pretty popular spot for MOW to set on (or get kicked off at, hah) if they're in the vicinity of KK or Lake

Great stuff, Gordon
@@tedfisk1211 Thanks so much Ted! Hope you’re doing well!!
That horn on 762 caught me off guard, that’s one of the best RS5Ts I’ve ever heard and it was on a CP engine
@@SilverThunder710 Mind you it’s a SOO Line unit in CP paint.
@ I know, but I saw candy apple red and expected a candy apple red horn to go with
Came for some vintage freight graffiti and, well, there was none
@@bobanmilisavljevic7857 Thankfully not at that time!
