I think it's interesting casting sutton as the Bakers wife when shes really a princess and the barkers wife has an element of fairytaleness to it whereas Cinderella is just a girl who wants a break and Sierra while being a great soprano has that lazy marilyn feel
These are both extraordinarily talented ladies and I'm really glad to hear them sing. But I do have to say they really aren't timing the comedy well. This script is hilarious, but you have to say the lines properly in order for the jokes to land. I think that would be fault of the direction.
Agreed! I love Sierra and Sutton but damn they had no chemistry on the stage unlike Gleason and Crosby...hell Amy Adams and Jessie Mueller had more chemistry in the limited central park run.
There used to be one on here but it was deleted a few days after. I miss it since I loved listening to Hailey Kilgore's "Ahhhh ahhhh ahhhhh...." bits :(
Yeah, I think her voice is too strong for Cinderella. Anna's voice is softer. I prefer her as Ariel or Christine better. She could even be the Baker's Wife.
@@ricecakes8635 No..Kim crosby, the original cinderella's voice is strong like her..but she modulates it to alternate between earnest strong and princessy soft, light and high. Sierra lacks those dynamics and sounds..kind of..bland and..a bit cocky. Plus, her comedic timing isn't good.. Which is weird because I've seen her in other roles with way more dynamics and way better timing. I think it's the direction's fault.
Vocally, yes- Anna is a better fit for the role. But acting-wise, Anna’s interpretation of Cinderella lacked warmth imo. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Cinderella is a lyric soprano, while Sierra Boggess is a coloratura soprano?
Princess Fiona from 'Shrek' and Ariel from 'The Little Mermaid' have found themselves in some new stories.
What am I doing here? This is ridiculous; I'm in the wrong storyyyyy!"
@@yippedoodah I was thinking the same ahhaha
1:14 wow a nice prince and a lovely cousin, Cinderella’s got it all ( if you got this we’re best friends )
wait ? The one she met at the THING ??! I know him !
Hi bestieeeee
The fact that shes playing literally the same character. Outstanding comment.
😂😂 I was just think about her cousin that the prince met at that thing in France.😂
Sierra is perfect for playing princesses. She has all the charm, beauty, grace and charisma of a Princess 👸
Wow! That's some damn star power up there. 2 absolute legends crushing it!

Timothy Shanice Williams?
I imagined Princess Fiona and Ariel singing it....
I love Sierra but.. I think I actually prefer Anna Kendrick

I adore her voice here
