Just the review I was looking for, awesome job, nice flying.
Thanks brotha!
I found that the 8-blade HQProps (89mm/3.5") have a much more pleasing sound outdoors (more hissy and less whirry)...still pretty obnoxious indoors tho. Drone also feels a bit more tightly connected to the sticks for me with those props.
Absolutely agree ordered something and they are for sure what need to come stock on it.
Thanks for the review, are you able to do dives with it and the GoPro on or is it not that powerful?
I guess you could, but I only use it as a whoop I use my 5 inch for the shredding!
@@GrauFPV Ah gotchu, would love to see it if you can :D
Yes you can make a dive and acro it. I even did it with a heavy 4s 21700/4000mah Molicel Lion pack.
Awesome review man. Hard to find informative 6s protek 35 reviews out there. A gopro and 6s 1300 seem like a lot of weight for it. Were your motors hot after flights?
Not at all actually! I since have swapped to a slammed squirt but it is a solid rig nonetheless. Much better than the cinelog series
@@GrauFPV nice! Bought a go pro and will be testing it on my protek 35. Glad to hear that. I do like the slammed squirts, I want to build one.
@@zeesh0267 the only thing I recommend is updating the esc firmware to bluejay for rpm filtering
@@GrauFPV all done. Running at 48KHz. Without that GoPro I get about 10 minute flight times
@@zeesh0267 awesome!
Would you recommend this for indoor real estate flying? Or a Bumblebee or other 3" cinewhoop would be better? Im planning on doing these indoor shots 90% of the time
In my honest advice, I think you have about a year of practice before you can really sell flying commercially. I would start with a sim and a 5” freestyle rig and learn to fly and then later get a cinewhoop. Then for indoor you’re going to want something smaller like a 2.5” with a naked gopro
Great review I got mine a few days ago and love this 6s version 👍 umfortunatly did update and lost all the settings... can you share your dump please... i checked iflight dumps but there is none for 6s HD version.
Thanks, and yep when I’ll put it up on betaflight and drop em in a little bit. I did change the esc config from 24k to 48k. And I did a mild tune, so it’s a little diff than stock not much tho
@@GrauFPV Thanks and for the tip I will give it then a try 👍
Where ca. I find your settings at? I’m new into fpv and will be purchasing this exact drone. Thanks for the help!
Nice review 👌
Thanks is still been a pretty good quad all these months later too!
@@GrauFPV I was about to pick one up but the noise turned me off so I'm planning to build a Shendrones Terraplane. Should be good, but a bit big for indoors.
@@colibrifpv I really like the smaller protek25 for indoors, or the slammed squirt, both have been my go to!
nice review, what are you refering as stabilized mode?
I was referring to angle mode or gyro stabilization. I have since disabled it altogether, as I feel full manual flight is far more consistent and allows more deliberate corrections. I was using angle mode indoors, but it just felt too wonky and the footage didn’t look as smooth.
@@GrauFPV i had same issue with angle mode, now i gonna try without airmode off
Yes indeed airmode off indoors
Nice review. What mah battery did you use?
I use 1050 and 1300. Since getting octoprops I’m getting closer to 5 mins with my GoPro and 8 mins without it. Thanks for watching!
@@GrauFPV that's actually really helpful. Im getting this one in a few weeks, and was thinking about using the octoprops, but mainly so it wasnt so noisy. Knowing it will help with flight times is awesome!
@@JooorgeMT it is still really noisy, but a lot less shrill for sure. They definitely do feel like the throttle response is smoother though and more thrust at lower rpm.
Thanks for the review! How long can you fly without the GP, and also how much mah where you using for the 6s?
I’m running 1300 and without a GoPro I get close to 7 mins. However you really gotta set the 48khz in Blheli config, and flash the esc’s to enable bidirectional d shot
A friend recommended the 1200mah 6s pizza packs I’m running the 11mini and my flight times are way less than what you claim idk if there’s anything I can do to make it longer. I got the 6s version for the same reason that u said to have one battery I could use for 3 in and my 5in
I’d recommend flashing the esc with 48 96. Not sure if you’re is blheli s, but mine was and I flashed with bluejay, and enabled bidirectional d shot, and it made it fly a lot better I did tune it too, but it didn’t really need it
Also pizza packs are complete trash. Cnhl in general makes some of the worst batteries you can buy
@@GrauFPVwhat batteries do you recommend 6s
@@THEBIGK4HUN4 pretty much anything is fine on a whoop honestly they don’t really sag as much as freestyle or race rigs
Good to know.
Man… things have been crazy and I have a lot to share. It’s just been really hard to make a video about everything happening. Soon though…. Much love to you brother, hope you’re well.
@@GrauFPV Take your time. Love and miss you.💙💙💙
@@pameladecicco6509 I hope you’re well. We will have to catch up soon. Been a crazy journey and a lot of hurdles. But I think I’m on to something.
@@GrauFPV Sounds great! 💙💙💙
i 've just had a 100ft fall... this thing is tough
Did you try to hit the same gap with airmod off?
Since then, I’ve hit much tighter gaps indoors with airmode off.
@@GrauFPV glad to hear that! :)
I was looking into this drone for indoor smooth shots with full gopro. Should I look for something smaller with naked?
I’ve been using this for smooth tight shots, and it carries the GoPro 9 with no issues. I did tune it to my liking and my rates are the Evan turner 533 setup. I also have a beta95 that carries a naked, and they both serve their places in my bag. The protek can handle outdoors and wind like a champ, and the beta95 can handle indoors with ease!
@@GrauFPV Thank you for the video and kind reply! Hmm still can't decide. I like indoor shots better, but didn't want to go naked gopro. I guess I would need to give up one thing😩
Haha sounds like you need both like I do! I have heard mixed reviews about the micro x8 that can carry a full GoPro 9 for 3 mins….that’s also an option
Can you also fly with 4s battery on this one?
Yes it flys fine with 4s but wouldn’t recommend if carrying a GoPro
@@GrauFPV Why not? Cuz ive seen 4s versions carrying a gopro 9. Is the 6s version "weaker" with 4s battery than a 4s version with 4s battery?
It comes down to a difference in kv. 6s has a lower kv than 4s, so it is less powerful when you run a 4s on a 6s build.
@@GrauFPV Ahh I see! thanks man
7:10 what a place to fly - nice!
It’s kinda an in and out spot due to the houses right next to it, but I love that place! Thanks for watching !
