Revs300, Thank you for uploading the 1982 Pba National Championship. Also, Keep up the good work on the Uploads especially the Pba Bowling stepladder Finals from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
Although those leaves are called a "true tap" there' really no such thing. As you said, it's really a chop of the 5 off the 8 or 9 pin. It's a low percentage shot but not really a "tap".
Imperial still used a lacquer finish on the lanes well into the 1980s (I bowled in a junior tournament there in 1986 and it was still lacquer), long after virtually all centers used urethane finishes. The lanes did play differently.

Oh shut up ding dong
Super upload!
At this point in time Earl had 13 years on tour and including that win - had 38 titles.
38 titles in 13 years. JESUS.
Love the old shows. Thanks for the upload! How did you get access to the video in order to upload it?
Tapp kept sneaking by each game but Anthony is just a machine.
@Reves300 do you have video of 1982 fair lanes open?
Hate to revisit something I said from another post, right or left handed , you leve the stone 8 or 9 ball drives the 5 pin straight back .

Wow the wayne williams verdict
1:30:58: Incorrect. Anthony still needed at least 7 on his next ball to seal the victory.
I cannot thank you enough for all that you upload of the classics! Is what I watch the most. Thank you! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🎳
Your welcome!
