When Nazir and Tan Kooi Ong met Tun M in London in 2015 to voice their concerns about 1MDB, it was a courageous act, especially for brothers bound by blood. This moment reflected their unwavering commitment and bravery in facing a delicate issue that weighed heavily on the nation. Nazir chose to protect his brother while honoring the wisdom passed down from their father. Such a choice resonates with profound respect and admiration.
Aura Tan Sri Nazir Razak saperti Allahyarham Tun Razak, a very intelligent man. Hope you can give your ideas and help implement and propose to society on how to take Malaysia to greater heights and remain civil society. Saudara Shahril tahniah for such an enjoyable interview, please don’t waste your bright and intelligent ideas go to waste. You are a great interviewer and you let your guest talk and you listen and come in at the appropriate time. Well done Shahril. Please interview Tun Mahathir dalam kereta. The man has so much to share, pick his brains while doing it with respect. Bravo Shahril!
I saw this at 11.am. It was 1 hour 44mins. We have to give credit to Tan Sri here. He chose doing the right things instead favouring family members like some politicians.
Awesome Tan Sri you're a man of staunch principles. Your legendary father would be very proud of you. Mr Shahril handled the interview ever so professionally despite the personal & sensitive nature of the context. He'll go very far in politics.
One of the best episodes, truly inspiring, as it highlights the honesty and integrity of TS Nazir, who, despite knowing his brother's involvement with 1MDB, remained forthright. His brilliant vision for the country's future, advocating for deliberative democracy and a reformed education system, is exactly what Malaysia needs. His ideas reflect a deep commitment to building a better nation. A job well done Shahril, KJ & KS Lagi team!
Excellent episode! Shahril’s line of questioning got TS Nazir to talk serious stuff in this casual, easy chat. Refreshing perspectives on TS Nazir’s conundrum in dealing with 1MDB and his PM brother, his ideas of deliberative democracy and education.
my former boss said to me, a man with principle can't go anywhere.. yeah i'm agree. because i don't want to lose myself. i love this ep. thank you tan sri.
THIS IS GREAT EPISODE WITH FULL PACKAGE, financial knowledge, cimb experiences and innovations, snippets of tun razak legacy, falling system of Malaysia and some suggestions and strategies, 1mdb scandals and brothers relationship, things young Malaysians need to learn and know in order to become future progressive society. Thanks KS!!
What a great episode! Kudos to Sharil can drive and calmly ask really good question and reply back with his own views. From this episode, we can see the differences personality between Najib and TS Nazir. TS Nazir more like or same thinking with his late father Allahyarham Tun Razak. He have a lot of good idea to reform so many system that have been broken right now. Wish he can be part of the goverment and can change better policy for Malaysia.
Immensely moved by Tan Sri Nazir. His character, principles and tribulations. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope that I can have a conversation with you one day.
Dear TS, the worst you can do in politics is just losing your deposit.. I mean, if you have the vision for a change, then go for it la. It's hard, but not impossible right? You said it yourself. You've already figured out what the right thing is. So, nothing wrong doing it, right? Plus, you have one of the best advisors sitting right next to you...
You know, after watching and listening to Tan Sri's comment about his relationship with Najib, there's really lots of underside and personal story which he couldn't tell. An obvious rift between them both, also between him and family . Going against the most influential man either in family or country. Thank god , Tan sri always stand up to his principles eventhough need to put aside lots of sentiments or backlashes.
A very chill but informative talk, 1 main point I got was even Tan Sri was feeling/smelling something foully about 1MDB so early, this in my opinion making him looks so trustworthy and honest financial player, but what is weird is that yet till now we still hear so much noise trying to "clean" 1MDB of its stench both from UMNO and Walajib, what substances do these guys are on?
Great episode this is. This gives me the opportunity to know Tan Sri Nazir Razak as a person. A man with principle and vision. I could understand the tough time he had during the whole 1MDB saga involving his brother. Totally agree on the lack of system in place in government organisations even up until today. The system has failed us and continues to do so. We need a technocrat like Tan Sri Nazir to be in ministerial role. Kudos to Shahril for your perfect handling of this interview. You nailed it!
Don't think you should deny that it's an unfair world and people with "nama" and being rich do get a leverage in life and get given better opportunities. Just acknowledge it and try to be better. Otherwise a very good interview!
Excellent job Shahril for this amazing and insightful session with Nasir Razak. Wishing both of you many successes in all your endeavors. Great to see we do have many great people and potential future leaders in this beloved country Malaysia.
Dengan apa yang saya dengar, hopefully ada a more formal discussion with Tan Sir Nazir Razak dalam podcast Keluar Sekejap. Contoh expansion of ideas on how to relook at Malaysia today, and the way we should move forward.
In the second episode of "Sembang Dalam Kereta" by Keluar Sekejap Lagi, TS Nazir's insights were truly captivating. His unique perspective sets him apart from his older brother. His book "What's In A Name" is engaging and thought-provoking. Well done, KS, for this episode! ❤
Excellent episode. I'm in my 50s. I remember in my school days there was a feeling of common identity that all students of different backgrounds shared with each other. But this eroded way before 2018, way before 1MDB, due to policies that emphasised differences and divided Malaysians... as what Tan Sri Nazir pointed out. I agree with him about the need for national recalibration to move the country forward. Thank you Shahril for the great interview. The whole interview was moving.
Not 3.0, but 2.5 first. Malaysia needs to stop being too reactive to do this and that, and more surgical to an objective towards 3.0. Key takeaway: "a system DESIGNED for Malaysia". Great chat!
What an episode🤌🏻 alot of perspective being enlighten , much appreciated Tan Sri Nazir for willing to join in this talkshow , sharing alot being the brother and son of a former Prime Minister , also proud to be the same alumni as Tan Sri Nazir Razak , Once a Johannian, Always a Johannian🟢⚪️ keep it up KS Lagi Lagi Senario😁
I was expecting to see laid back & light conversation. But man, what an episode. I agree a lot with him. Btw, This is basically KS without KJ & the studio. 😂
we might not be able to see it, but real reform is coming..thanks for the thoughtful sharing..its good to know Malaysia still has lots of good people with good intentions for the country..
what a good episode, hats off to you tan sri. never knew that you were the 1 who raised 1mdb issue alongside the edge. what a tough position to be in. well at least now the tun Razak legacy lives on at least in my eyes lah before this i thought that DSN has tarnished it. well done KS lagi
kudos to team KS & TS Nazir atas perkongsian.... di sebalik nama yg penuh dgn prestij, integriti dan legasi tersendiri... al fatihah dibaca buat Tun Razak & Tun Rahah seluruhnya....
This, indeed, is what I would describe as a conversation rich with emotional nuance and captivating intellectual depth. My sincere congratulations to Sahril, whose keen listening skills are matched only by his eloquence in presentation. As for TS Nazir, his masterful command of language and the graceful articulation of his thoughts serve as a testament to the enduring presence of a truly remarkable leader. Kudos!
No matter what about najib, he's always a good person. He actually kept many his promises, n never left anyone behind. If not for 1mdb scandal, he would've been the greatest prime minister this country ever had.
At least boleh reach certain group of people.. yg mampu bawa perubahan dimasa hadapan.. 🤓.
Thank you Sharil for this candid conversation. It's indeed a difficult choice for him. If we could post question, i would ask, being a smart banker, has it ever crossed his mind his brother was involved? Has he got the slightest suspicion his brother was in fact the main player in this 1MDB saga?
Show lebih bagus Dan seronok sekiranya perbualan digunakan Bahasa ibunda kita atau sekurang-kurangnya 70% Bahasa Malaysia + 30% English. Saya lebih suka episod yang sebelum ini. Sekadar pandangan saya.
Rumah memorial ni dh byk kali masuk bwk anak² tgk sejarah..lagi² bilik najib..klau ikut cerita, dia klau blk dari oversea akan masuk ikut pintu blekang bilik..korang kena try pergi memorial PM lain, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun hussein Onn, semua area² lake garden jer..
Unfiltered interview. First class Malays. Role model for the Malays. Able to converse fluently in English and Bahasa. Do something like Dr M. To do offline National Consultative Council, it has to start from the PM. PM invites intellectuals, academicians, volunteers to put in ideas how to reform the flaws in the system e.g. race, religion, corruptions, concentration of powers, economy etc. Go for the low hanging fruits first. Then later the more difficult reforms that require political will.
How can he not be 1st class, he comes from priviledge upbringing. Dont simply categorized people, some people were brought up very disadvantage compared to others. We shouldn't be judge because u speak certain language, look at Japan or Korea, they dont speak English but far advance & rich than Malaysia. Mindset like yours are very toxic.
This is what malay call " Mengata Dulang Paku Serpih " there is no difference the way to belittle him. We should take the positives part of the comment. The roots or upbringing should be use as an excuse, all person should be responsible to who they become, a better education system will do a lot to help the next generation.

Shahril is a good listener. He can dig up the unspoken truth.
Thank you for your service to the country, Tan Sri. You've lived up to the legacy and name of your late father by doing the right thing.

Finally, a good episode with truly remarkable man such TS Nazir, former CIMB CEO. I want more episode like this.

TQ Shahril for going to the jugular with such casuality & relax manner.
U know what question to throw & TS Nazir is such an honest person.
Congrats to shahril and Thank you so much tan sri for sharing your thoughts. I love this episode.
Immensely moved by Tan Sri Nazir. His character, principles and tribulations. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope that I can have a conversation with you one day.

Agreed with Tan Sri Nazir regarding 1 school. Need to reform and find solution so all can sit together.

Tour of Tun Razak memorial is fantastic. Should play that part of clip before visitor entry.

Exactly, acknowledge ur privilege please! Other than that, a great conversation indeed!
...the true embodiment of tun razak's wisdom....👍
Beza betul Tan sri punya perspektif dgn politician Malaysia. Very wise
Love this KS car type of format making the passenger comfortably share their sincere life than KS sofa that's more to rethoric respond.
One of the best episode so far or at least the episode that has the most clarity and honest expression!!!! Please do more of such guests!!!
Excellent job Shahril for this amazing and insightful session with Nasir Razak. Wishing both of you many successes in all your endeavors. Great to see we do have many great people and potential future leaders in this beloved country Malaysia.
Malaysia truly needs a Prime Minister like Tan Sri Nazir Razak, someone who is highly visionary and principled.

Youre a man of principle like Tun Razak. saya rasa kalau Tan Sri dulu pilih jalan politik I think Malaysia would have been on steadier path.
You can feel the wisdom and skills of this person just by how he is articulating his words
I was expecting to see laid back & light conversation. But man, what an episode. I agree a lot with him. Btw, This is basically KS without KJ & the studio. 😂

No matter what about najib, he's always a good person. He actually kept many his promises, n never left anyone behind. If not for 1mdb scandal, he would've been the greatest prime minister this country ever had.

Woah. Brilliant minds.
This session is so so engaging. Woww
Tun Razak was the best PM we had.. hands down
Please preserve this house! I love it so much since my first visit! and yes, there is so much potential! Amazing episode KS!
Tan Sri is the individual who can be the Captain of the three quarter sinking ship that fly Jalur Gemilang. You all can comprehend what I mean.
Great conversation Tan Sri Nazir Razak
Rumah memorial ni dh byk kali masuk bwk anak² tgk sejarah..lagi² bilik najib..klau ikut cerita, dia klau blk dari oversea akan masuk ikut pintu blekang bilik..korang kena try pergi memorial PM lain, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun hussein Onn, semua area² lake garden jer..

Excellent show...heavy topics in a casual setting. I think this will attract more serious following, to learn thoughts and ideas of prominent msians
Untold story.. but it is reality. When integrity comes 1, u will stand for it.
Massive conversation with big guy like this should go with KS..i think la..
Good show and brilliant conversation
I like this format but please get a camera with a better stabilizer.
Shahril started with a bang of an episode!
Good show.. subscribed to the channel.. very informative
love this episode, love the conversation, love the guest 😊😊😊😊
great episode to be honest.
Very interesting interview. I would have asked Nazir, if he really believed Najib didn't know, or is it Najib doesn't want to know....But good job 👍
