My wife and I did our 25th wedding Anniversary on the Princess… that was back in 2010. We sailed out of Rome and hit a few ports in Italy before heading off to some of the Greek islands, ending up in Venice. It was the greatest vacation we ever took; the crew was fabulous and we loved every second of it…The best way to experience different places is by cruising. You get a little taste of many great and beautiful venues and it provides you with future vacation options if you happen to fall in love with a particular place… I highly recommend it….❤❤….
Thank you for sharing your experience.....now the Princess is an "old lady" it seems, but still looking forward to meeting her early next year for our Australia cruise..... :)
Thanks P&C. We ate a lot in the Horizon in the evenings and hot meals were a real challenge, especially if you put gravy on them. By the time you've sat down - luke warm/cold. Everything. Urgh. :/
I agree, It's a great channel Wayne... just watched a recent ship tour of Queen Elizabeth by another youtuber... and no comparison to visitwithus... docutainment with a capital D!
@@mattc2094 Hey Matthew, thank you! Sorry I missed this comment, and it's great to have you around and we really appreciate you taking the time to comment like you do. It really makes our day. :)
Crooners was my favorite bar as well as the International Cafe. The Crown Princess was my 1st cruise back in 2016 so there's always a special place in my heart for this ship.
Thanks for watching Will. I honestly haven't been on any other cruise line that uses plastic plates, bowls, coffee cups and glasses in their main buffet restaurants. It's OK to have them around the pool area - I get that totally, but putting your evening meal on one just doesn't feel right and coffee in a plastic mug feels like you're camping!
What a pleasure to have such an informed mini "doc-humourentry". I am contempleting travelling with the Crown Princess later in the year so this review was helpful. I'm aware it is an older ship in the group, so I wondered how it compares to Royal Princess (travelled in 2015)? Thanks
Agree with the plasctic plate. Also I recall no bread and butter plate. Multi grains bread was also never available at beakfast and I had to ask for it and that always seem to be some inconvenience for the staff.
Wanted to saw ur review was one of the best I have watched the last few weeks doing research, your narration were informative and relaxing with a touch of humor. Thank you so much
Lovely video, as all of yours are. I sailed in Ruby Princess last year and totally agree with you about the International Cafe. Thank you for your wonderful channel.
We came across plastic plates and cups on Royal Carribean, as well. Since it was our first cruise, we thought it was normal, until we went on a cruise with Celebrity where they had proper china crockery. It was so much nicer than the horrid plastic ones with the pattern fading with heavy use. I didn't know you couldn't film or take photos in the casino either. I took some on a recent cruise and nobody stopped me. Mind you, we were at port and it was closed. So perhaps that was all right. Thanks for the videos. I've enjoyed watching them.

Well, you managed to miss the best part of this ship, as well as Grand, Saphire, Ruby, etc. vis-a-vis the new, larger Royal class ships ... the outdoor public deck space atop the bridge ... the bomb for viewing glaciers, progress through the inside passage etc. on Alaska cruises. Also ... re: the comment about the plastic plates at the buffet ... you're kidding, right? If not ... then ... get a life!
Yes we love the public space on top of the bridge and yes we very much DO have a life even though I don't like plastic plates. I don't like plastic cutlery either. :)
I worked on this ship many moons ago. The space on top of the bridge was always my ‘secret spot’ to share with my favourite passengers. Many of the regular cruisers didn’t realise this was open to the public.
@@usernameisusername Thanks. I think whatever ship you're on (within reason), you'll get a broad mix across the ages. It also depends on the itinerary and the time of year you go too. This was the second from last Med sailing before relocating to the Caribbean for the winter (October) , so there weren't many young travellers on board and the families had all gone back to school if I remember rightly. :)
Hey Derek, thanks for watching! We called it 'Premium' as it's a) the restaurants attract a charge and b) it is (supposed to be) their finest cuisine. Speciality doesn't have to be their finest, but premium does, if that makes sense. :)

Haha! The Dollar sure helped thanks! ;) Thanks for your brilliant comments as always Bob. And I can confirm, you only need ONE Margarita! Any more and you'll need help getting out of the chair! :D
Nice video! I have been on a few cruises and me and my family are going on one this year in thanksgiving.
What is the music called in the video?
Thank you for watching. Which music are you referring to? 🙂
im referring to ur intro and the music that stars at 0:56
Charming!
Indeed. :D
Is the champagne fountain and balloon drop horrible? Is the wine really bad? Why is it “infamous”?
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Is the pool in the sanctuary cold because of it not getting as much direct sun as the other pools?
Could be the answer. As a person used to the North Sea here in the UK (between us and Norway), it made that seem like the Caribbean!
Does the salty dog have vegetarian dishes
Karen M Yes, it’s a sort of ‘small plates’ style menu and there’s vegetarian dishes in there. 🙂
Great review, but no use complaining about the environmental waste when the ship itself is burning diesel lol.
Good point, but you have to look at the little as well as the large things. :)
Sorry (NOT) that it took so long to get to this video. We were on the Caledonian Canal when it was posted. :-) Regarding Skywalkers. I'm not much of a nightclub sort cruiser, but I enjoy Skywalker's during the day as very quiet place to sit and read while enjoying a great view. It's open, but unattended. Fine with me.
Haha! You're forgiven! We hope you had a nice cruise. :) Yes, these nightclubs are great places to chill during the day and you get a great view too! Thanks for watching and commenting. We hope you consider subscribing! :)
@@visitwithus But, but, but, I am subscribed and have been for awhile! ;-) Please keep up the great videos.
@@kd0r Haha, thank you! It's difficult keeping track of nearly 5000 subscribers AND know them by name! :D I shall try harder in future sir! :P
@@visitwithus That is the right kind of problem to have.
@@kd0r VERY true! Although keeping tabs on 10,000 or (gasp) 100,000 would be sweeter! ;)
I am sure That guy " The Visit with us " is environmentalis OR competition from other cruise liner.
Thanks for watching! I am neither of those things, although of course I'm concerned for the environment, as we all should be. :)
Movie: a hubby has to do what a hubby has to do.......
It was PAINFUL I tell you! I had a couple of beers to keep me going...
The amount of grey hair on that ship....
Did you know the worldwide average age for cruising guests is 47 and in the UK/Europe it is 57. Yes, that makes for a LOT of grey hair! ;)
@@visitwithus I have plenty so not being critical but your over views are a good guide for the youngsters considering.
Vegetarians catered for?
Hi Karen. Yes, there is a really good selection for vegetarians. :)
Think you should have called it speciality dining and not premium.
Hey Derek, thanks for watching! We called it 'Premium' as it's a) the restaurants attract a charge and b) it is (supposed to be) their finest cuisine. Speciality doesn't have to be their finest, but premium does, if that makes sense. :)
Wait just realised, were visiting Crown Princess aren't we? I forgot she's the one you were on 😂
Hahaha you don't film in casinos :p
Haha! You didn't make it though!
@@EmmaCruises I got a filthy look and a telling off. 😂
"Look at the size of the Margueritas" That's not a nice thing to say about your Wife Marguerita now is it? OTBC (We did it)
Hahahaa! :D
#CTID ;)
Dreadful coffee cups
Karen M I totally agree! Thanks for watching.
Rant about the plates! You girly man.
I WANTED MANLY PLATES! :P
