G'day. I see you snagged a public mooring ( THE public mooring ) at Tuncurry. What was your plan if it wasn't available? Drop anchor nearby? Looks narrow and would have a strong run, I imagine. Head over to the Forster boat harbour? I don't know the depths or if they take transients. Cheers
Yeah David, Last time I was there the moorings were taken and I anchored just before the bridge on the Forster side. Bit of a hole there and good access to town. Make sure your well anchored. Don't want to be stuck under the bridge. The holding seemed OK.
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes Have great ground tackle but wouldn't sleep well close to the bridge and worrying about tide change and re-set. Can you get into the little harbour on the Forster side? Do they have visitor berths? BTW I especially like the way you show port entrances, picking up the leads, etc. Thank you.
@@davehayes8812 Thanks. Maybe a bit less run on that side too, I guess. Transient mooring areas seem a bit scarce. Could do with a few more public moorings.... everywhere, actually. Cheers.

No worries John.
Crowdy Head also has a Motel where we enjoyed refreshments and Champagne after our marriage.
Well congrats. Didn't find the motel, but must admit I didn't venture too far from the harbour. It was a good overnight anchorage.
Cheers Dude.

@@deemacvee1 Sadly no visitor berths in boat harbour. At least not official. It's a sandy bottom to anchor in outside the harbour.

Love the boat what you are doing and how you do it
Thanks Brian. I love it.
Good old boat and a great lifestyle.
Cheers mate.
When next in Forster I'll make you a coffee in exchange for a yarn.
May be a while Dude
I was married to Irene at Crowdy Head Lighthouse.
