I'm testing out a new method of sharing my DS-10 music making process! Next time, I'll try setting up my webcam so I can provide some commentary on what I'm doing like in my Gadget Switch music making videos.

Thanks for sharing this Anthony. This really shows how you use the different channels, make chords, use panning, achieve a full sound, etc. I hope you do more of these, but if not, thanks for this one.
I'll definitely be making more music making videos in the future! Thanks for listening!

I just started using this DS synth for beats. I've been looking for a west coast sounding synth and its not too bad
Making the snare and cymbal in the same channel blew my fucking mind. Wow. Phenomenal dude.
thanks a lot !! ds 10 is incredible !!
KORG DS classic!
ayo this is good
Tnx, it's super usefull for novices like me X) I hope in others sessions ;)
PS. i love your music :D
@@gorgo89te Thanks for listening! I'll definitely be making more of these in the future.
Thank you 👏
Do you ever use pc/mac software with vst plugins? I've tried synth1 as a friend told me it was really good (and it's free and I'm poor lol) and it's actually extremely detailed and versatile for a free plugin with primitive graphics.
Honestly I haven't really explored any farther than mobile workstations like DSN-12 or Gadget. I've been saying for years that I'll move on to try other DAWs, but I have a lot of fun making music on these programs and I think they're pretty quality in terms of the sounds I want to make. I guess I'm a little stubborn that way, but I'm still enjoying it!
@@AnthonySeehaArchive Damnnnn this sounds super cool Anthony! keep this thing alive!
I was doing coursework for university and turned off all my devices so I missed it lol. Ironically about signals and communication techniques like modulation and filters which is basically the study of what the knobs do on a synthesiser.
Thanks for this! Super useful. Can you do one on the DSN-12 also please?
I won't be doing DSN-12 videos like this for now since I don't have a quick and easy way to record audio and footage. Sorry!
But, DS-10 and DSN-12 are based on the same synthesizer engine! All of the sounds that I made in this video can be recreated in the same way on DSN-12.
Anthony Seeha great, thanks for replying. The thing I find annoying on the DSN-12 is that there is no way to record while a song is playing back, like it is possible in the DS-10 Plus. One is stuck to writing in patterns. Is there any workarounds for this that you know/use? Or you just stick to writing individual patterns and stitching them together? Thanks!
@@HelderMusic107 Yeah, we lost the ability to navigate through menus during song mode in DSN-12. It's a real shame because that made DS-10 Plus an incredible performance tool! I haven't found any workarounds for that, so I just go pattern by pattern when making music with DSN-12.
GREAT VIDEO - but do i have this right?
Korg DS-10 - has a physical cartridge you can buy
KORG DSN-12 - is just a file to download no cart?
KORG M1 - same same?
does that mean i need an r4 flash cart or somthing
Do you know how to change the file name when you save it? Lol I accidentally saved over my old song and its gone forever
Cool, people are still using this tool :) I want to upload some of my Korg DS-10 stuff soon... Mr. Seeha, are you using a Windows Version of Korg DS 10? This would improve the workflow so much, because recording via cinch from NDS to PC is so messy (my stereo sound gets mono for example, so no left/right differential anymore :-/ ). There should be a way to transfer the sound files in an easier way... so do you have a hint for me?
I'm running DS-10 through emulation on my PC for these music making videos. If you get a setup like this working, you can use a program like OBS to record footage/audio. If we're talking actual hardware, I've been recording audio from my DS to my computer through the line-in/mic input with Audacity for all my songs since the early days. Let me know if you have any more questions!
@@AnthonySeehaArchive Thanks for your detailed answer! Nintendo - audio cable - Audacity has been my setup up to this date, too.
Despite the fact that there is some disturbing noise from the NDS-console (you can fix it with the noise filter in audacity though, its just kinda time consuming and annoying).
So do you recommend working with an emulated pc-version when it comes to workflow and sound quality, is it easier to handle and does it sounnd better? Whats are your experiences? Thank ya!
I've only started using emulation for these videos, but I still recommend using original hardware as long as you have a good recording setup. There are some occasional audio glitches on emulation, but the sound is surprisingly close to the original, too.
@@AnthonySeehaArchive ah ok thank you for that Information. I guess i'll stick to the handheld then... Combined with audacity and some real DAW for PC ;)
I found my kids' DSi in a shoebox, charged fully and found this software and it is amazing. Is it possible to record a sample from something external input (plugging a mic or sampling from RUclips, MP3, etc...)? If directly not possible, possible to load samples and cut, merge, sequencing?
no, its a synthesizer, you can "only" synthesize sounds
Does this carry the 808 bass it be awesome
Hello
Hello
Please tell me there's a full version of that song, it sounds so good.
Thank you! Unfortunately there's no full version for this song. :(
I think the closest to this of my tunes would probably be The Seventh, so check that one out!
@@AnthonySeehaArchive Yeah I love that song so much that I've made my own “long“ version on Korg Gadget for Switch a few days later, I'll eventually upload the whole song on Soundcloud in a few hours.
