As an agnostic religious studies fan, you dont have to have faith to have fun! Just because you don’t personally think its “real”, its real for someone - and thats ALWAYS worth learning about.
In my experience, as long as you’re respectful of the living practice (and practitioners) and make an effort to be cognizant of their history, I think there’s nothing wrong with a little exploration/experimentation. With consent ofc.

I’m a beginner witch and the balance you strike between informed skepticism and respectful open mindedness is so helpful for me! My idea of spirituality is being more aligned with reality - I love witchcraft because it’s so connected to the everyday material world. But I also want to be open to learning from people who practice a bit differently, since their perspectives can help me see things I never considered. Thanks for bringing in this guest - astrology isn’t my thing but I love expanding my knowledge of the wide witchy world! 💜 I really want to go to your couples retreat next year - my fiancé and I were already thinking about coming to Germany for a honeymoon and the timing could be perfect! You should look into Claire naktis page on youtube on the 27 life themed Nakshatras/constellations of vedic astrology. Her videos have helped me make sense of my life. I can also tell what planet someone is when I'm around them thanks to her video's. You will also learn alot about yourself along the way.

So interesting. I know where you are coming from- I am a scientist ( many years working in research), an atheist ( who works with deity ) and a witch. I have no problem having all these aspects sit comfortably within my world view. Scientific understanding works by using models which approximate truths but never quite reach that absolute truth, Current research into quantum physics is turning many previously firm scientific views overly simplistic and false. The fact that matter and energy can be both things simultaneously that one thing can be in two places at one time.. Everything we perceive as solid, is mostly empty space - atoms and molecules contain far more empty space that "stuff" , The universe is a strange place We have so much still to learn- the best scientists are those who have open minds,
My daughter is much more into astrology than I am, and she was talking about this just the other day. I have to share this with her; it was fascinating! (Love the earrings.)

You can use a free website or app - for example astro.com but there you can only see the main lines and not the parans :)
