To turn this route into a circular tour, it's possible to (carefully) drop down in a SW direction from the summit of Craig Silyn towards the quarries and the path that heads NNE through Cwn Trwsgi and Bwlch-y-Ddwy-elor and this returns you to Rhyd-Ddu. Used to take a school group on this very route many years ago. Great video and a super route away from the crowds.
Thanks, I've seen a few RUclips vids where they miss off the final two summits and just do a four summit hike with a circle back via the quarry, but I think the effort up Craig Cwm Silyn is worth it :-).
Just watched this video me and a friend are going to do the ridge this August hopefully the weather is going to be as nice as it was for you 😃 but we’re going to do the one way route from nebo with a cb radio in hand 😀 love the video hopefully we can do a video to and tell the tail ❤
Dan you have to go back. You forgot to do Mynydd Graig Goch! As you are the Bald Scrambler I was hoping you would demonstrate those Steve Ashton Scrambles as I never seem to locate them?
The view is absolutely amazing. I was on Y garn today the first time and if it wasn't for the second top, I might have gone further, the ridge looks so beautiful after that 2 years ago without my health problems I probably would have done it... Still the views up from Y Garn are sooo stunning already. I enjoyed it so much ❤ Great video.
Nice video of an excellent route that I've enjoyed many times in a variety of weathers. According to the old edition of Ashton, there are some obscure scrambles on the ridge which facilitate alternate ascents of Y Garn and Craig Cwm Silyn *(routes 64, 65 & 66)* - although they don't sound too promising ☹️
I've got the most recent book and it does state a grade 2 line up next to the wall on Craig Cwm Silyn but I must have missed it, it's probably quite short. I do have "Craig Fawr Rib" on my to-do list, it's a grade 3 (2star) in the most recent book and I was going to reccy it when I went up Nantlle Ridge but I ran out of time as I started late. I might have a go next I'm in Snowdonia, which will be fairly soon ;-).
There's a couple of scrambles nearby, if you're feeling energetic! (Craig Fawr Rib is a grade 3). It was a long day up there on the Ridge; worth considering if you go to Snowdonia with ppl who aren't into climbing/scrambling.
Hello, we have a plan to walk the Natile circle (5km)and it was told that there is a tiny scrambling (a few minutes) I don't like it because I don't feel safe also I have high fear. So how difficult that and is there enough space to step easily? or it is like sharp edge of the peak.
The scrambling is very short and at the lowest grade (grade 1-) and is slightly off the left of the ridge peak so it's not directly on the peak, i.e it's not on the top of a knife edge ridge.

Another great video Dan, a long route, but great scenery. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers,
Tony.

Fabulous conditions. Got to enjoy those clear skies while they last.
I was parched after this hike, quite long for me - 18km in the sun. Got a few more vids in the pipeline, more scrambling in the next one :-).

Great video.
Thank you, I love the Nantlle Ridge, going to do a revisit later this year.
Very beautiful place

Another great video mate. Yet to do Nantlle ridge. Not much scramble holding me back though 😂
