This movie is sooo underrated.
Sunshine is the most under rated movie of all time.
The publicity team behind this film did an awful job of promoting it. One of the best films ever and it's hardly known. Re-release it somehow because it deserves huge recognition. I mean if 'Gravity' can get such huge acclaim then Sunshine should get a 1,000 times more!

100% agreed. It's my absolute favourite and I recommend it to everyone I know when talking movies. The soundtrack gives me shivers whenever I hear it!
Movie takes a sharp left turn in the third act but, I won't lie, I was on the edge of my seat just about the entire time. Great music, acting (everyone gives a very strong performance), and premise.
adagio in D minor is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I find myself getting lost in its haunting melody titering on dispair and ethereal light.

one of my online friends showed me this movie. It's become one of my favorite movies and it's got such a great soundtrack, it's a shame that it's not a very well known movie because it's such a great movie.

This even reminds me of "The Abyss" especially, the part where Cillian Murphy is facing against a majestic wall of fire.. That part of The Abyss, where Ed Harris is facing against a mysterious form of water.. Awesome! They can't even seem to figure out if they're dead or alive!

Psychologically flawless movie, a sleeper that far too many have overlooked, this soundtrack made me emotional
The song is the soundtrack to a movie called Sunshine. It's a sci-fi movie set in a near future, where the sun is dying and a team of astronauts and experts are sent to space to deliver a nuclear bomb to create a star within a dying star. I can only recommend this masterpiece.
It's awesome how a good soundtrack can compliment a movie like crazy, especially sci-fi films. Fountain and Sunshine are brilliant examples for movies with insanely good soundtracks that make the movie so much better!!

Love how you said this one time. So true. Zimmer has just used this song in Wonder Woman 1984. So perfectly used. The film actually isn’t as good as it could have been but zimmers use of this song literally saves the movie
i think it's very underrated. i saw it in the cinema and it is the best place to see it. I have since got it on dvd. The music and the scenery, the atmosphere, the mood it creates, the calm, the tension, the wonder of the sun, ...it's all great.

Oooh how much I love this music and the movie, i am obsessed with it! Surface of the Sun is my healing, I listen to it when I am having a rough time and it makes it go all away, plus nothing beats sitting on the porch during a beautiful day and be listening to this song with headphones, it puts me at peace!

What struck me so deeply about this film is how it show's people going to such extreme desperate measures to try to live and at the same time so completely willing to give up their own lives to save all humanity.
Having a bad stressfull day and listening to this makes me stress free all day. Thanks.
My favourite sci fi film. Its very very rare to get film where the story, special effects and even music are so much bigger than the characters yet we get the actors realising this and still giving all; magnificent.
I got Goosebumps and chills from 1:47. Tried hard not think of anything heroic, such as a noble sacrifice. Failed. Barely managed to escape weeping like a human child.

Never seen sunshine, I heared another version of this in Kick-Ass (strobe), then Walking Dead, Then I found this on TV, recognised the music and looked it up. Beautiful, the best piece in soundtrack history!!!

When I heard the second version of this song by Newton called "Strobe" I thought that was amazing. But now hearing the original track, THIS IS AMAZING. Both songs have been done in perfection. And even though there technizally the same, there individually unique. 10/10
Sunshine is a beyond awesome movie, i liked it very much and the music is spot on!
I showed this movie to a few friends that at first completely laughed off the premise of the movie, but then were completely captivated by the film. It is definitely one of those films where the plot is a little absurd, but the execution is so good that it makes you easily forget about that.
By far one of my all time favorites songs. It does so much, and takes so little. No matter what music genre you're into. Somepart of you will like this song.
So if you wake up one morning and it's a particularly beautiful day, you'll know we made it. Okay, I'm signing out.

Sunshine is the utlimate science fiction movie. The music (classical of course) incredible. The story bigger than the actors. It has that quality of making you feel small

the first time i saw this movie was on my computer and i had headphones on. the first thing that hit me was how amazing the score was. its captivating. and on top of that the movie is awesome and the cast is great.

What I really loved about their trip was that it’s all very symbolic of our lives. We’re all on that journey heading at speed to our demise. When a character said every time she dreams, she dreams of the surface of the sun it’s really her inevitable death she dreams about.

I really love this piece no matter how many different places it happens to appear! Am I alone in being happily shocked at the inclusion in farcry 3? There's a section during the player orientation/introduction where this piece is rendered that actually managed to create an emotional bond with the protagonist for me despite being a jaded veteran of the usual tricks...
