Man, fucking crazy to think of how far I’ve come since I first heard this song. I remember only being 11 when this game came out. That ending hit me like a truck (save your friends, of course). It’s insane how many things have changed, how many people I’ve gained and lost, and how different things are from back then.
This is still one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard in my life. It brings me life. It makes me want to take those risks. It makes me understand that in order to experience life to the fullest I gotta know that death walks closely. It truly is still one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard to this day.

If you could only play one game in your life, this would definitely need to be one of the top 3 decisions. I feel very privileged to have experienced this during the short time of my life where I wasn’t completely jaded and dead. And of course it’ll be memorable for being basically the only Ubisoft game ever with any sort of edge or bite.
Far cry 3 has made me cry, very few games have ever done that, the difference with them and far cry 3 is that it will always get me emotional, this game was, and still is beautiful, it's the changing mentality of man and his downfall into insanity, much like that of what he was trying to escape, and in the end he realized how much the island changed him and that he can't reasonably go home anymore
I played FC3, 4, Primal, 5, and New Dawn. I thought Primal had the best setting of all the FC games, but other than that, FC3 was the best in all categories in my opinion.

I was extremely high when I played most of FC3, like I normally do with most single player games. I was maybe 3rd plateau on DXM when I got to the ending. Being so incredibly, abnormally immersed I thought "Fuck, I just saved my friends to see them sail away" I'll never forget that night.
Just to let everyone know, I played this game many times and will keep playing it in the future because its an incredible game to go back and play through no matter how many times I did it in the past

At 2:38-2:55 i can imagine this song playin' on the background as you execute Hoyt by stabbin' em in the ribs once in the neck then in the head as you hear Dennis sayin' "No, you can only help yourself, i am going to free you!" while you execute Hoyt. This entire thingy is what rings in my head at 0:42-1:02 and at 2:38-2:55. Truly a masterpiece and let the ones who down-vote to be cursed and dislike button be disabled regarding a legendary song as this one. I cried ngl, i had some difficult time to adapt to it, but i'm glad i did and that ain't the only one who felt emotional about it. But the feelin' as i cried was remarkable in a good way. Long live the Far Cry 3 and the Rakyat also Vaas the mesmerizing antagonist which i hope i'll see em in Far Cry 6 but in a different form or as Vaas but older way older and talkin' us about Jason.

Such a beautiful piece of music that perfectly captures the emotions of the characters, mainly Jason, who went through all this shit on the island. If they survive and return home - none of them will ever be the same as before. The events have been life-changing and they're all different people now. I think this track just illustrates this feeling perfectly.

Just had a thought. One of the main themes of this game is centered around Jason Brody’s evolution to manhood. Stripping away his innocence/childhood to survive and save his friends. When I hear the children humming in the background its as if its the souls of those who lost their childhoods to soon, who were forced to grow up before they were ready.
I love having this play whenever I’m a sniper on big team battle games like Battlefield, it’s a real tone setter when you’re either walking through the less populated sections of large maps to find a good spot or when you’re already set up and patiently waiting for good shots.

Far Cry 3 is one of those rare games that I think deserves a complete remake. I can't even imagine how it would look graphically in 2022 or whatever. It's by far the best Far Cry game and maybe even the best FPS game ever. Video games just aren't good anymore. I miss the passion pit into these games.

Far Cry 3 is one of those rare games that I think deserves a complete remake. I can't even imagine how it would look graphically in 2022 or whatever. It's by far the best Far Cry game and maybe even the best FPS game ever. Video games just aren't good anymore. I miss the passion pit into these games.
