NFL Films is why I’m a fan of the NFL. They captured so much history.

One thing you can say for NFL Films: They have captured quite a few interesting angles over the years.

NFL Films does the best job of all major American Sports at capturing the most intimate moments of it's athletes during their performances.

Because we're so used to it, you don't really realize how spectacular it is to get a continuous shot that begins with a clear closeup of the quarterback and ends with a clear closeup of the receiver in the end zone. Fascinating stuff.

Thats so true. When they break it down and you see how crisp the shot is in motion and done so perfectly every time. Its art

The tears @4:53 in the beginning of the super bowl must be one of the most intense emotions

I always liked the story Ed Sabol would tell about going to league meetings or broadcast industry events or whatever, and they would have NFL Films footage playing, and everyone would look at the ball in flight shots and say “How do they keep that in focus?” 50, 60 years later and I still wonder how they do that.

Incredible! I shoot high school football and try to capture this style, but there is a limit to the lens, but now I see how they do it. Crazy setup!

They have great footage….I hate the nfl films of miked up players obviously going for the sound bite…is so contrived…and the sappy struggle to get to the league stories with the vapid bubble headed bleach blond that knows nothing of the game…..remember the old narration and who ever wrote them…..that’s where the great camera work paired with sparse player mics and booming narration was excellent…I hope I’m not the only one that longs for this….

    • @jesters08joker

@@houseofchinn6112 the point is, the NFL has access to all that technology (or hire people that do) so they can make their replay systems just as good.

Nick crying during the national anthem should become the standard. If you don't have at least one guy cryin they might not want it as bad
