Fiosróidh Manchán Magan ár gcaidreamh casta le portaigh na hÉireann sa tsraith seo. Tá Éire ar cheann de na tíortha is tábhachtaí ar domhan i dtaobh tailte portaigh.

The bog is part of our culture and heritage; but these biodiverse habitats are increasingly threatened. Manchán reflects on what he has learned throughout his journey so far and wonders what the future has in store for the peatlands of Ireland. He learns how we can repurpose, restore and reconnect with our peatlands to create a brighter future for all.
Is cuid dár n-oidhreacht iad na portaigh; ach tá na gnáthóga seo i mbaol. Déanann Manchán machnamh faoin méid atá i ndán do phortaigh na tíre. An féidir úsáid eile a bhaint as na portaigh agus ceangal nua a dhéanamh leo chun go mbeidh saol níos fearr ag cách amach anseo?
An féidir portaigh na tíre a chaomhnú fad a gcoinnímid ár gcultúr i leith na bportach sin beo?

The Irish should be grateful to the British. Without the British, the Irish never would have learned to speak English.

2 episodes in and finding it very biased. All smiles and laughs with people who want the bogs preserved and all hard hitting hard questions for those who want tradition. Just finished the episode there and they never mentioned that wind turbine blades cant biodgrade or be recycled but proposed them as an alternative? Seriously? They also said the bog can never regrow despite establishing in episode 1 it can if managed right. If the bog can regrow then any carbon released during burning is taken back in during regrowth making peat carbon neutral, but no mention of that. No real solutions offered to the people, like elephant grass on suitable land, an approved green plant to be brown and burnt instead? No, just expect them to get gas and oil. Also over inflation of peat burnings affect on health without taking into account how many on the planet die mining for lithium, or in coal mines, or in gas/oil wars. I have never been to a bog in my life and have no history of it, but I think more balance is needed instead of a bunch of people just trying to prove their view is correct.
