Sounds great, I wish to see an entire electric violin with magnetic pickups

+Yesid Ghisays already done..! The one string Fidelino Pickup in this video was the first step of development.
Recently i have made a Magnetic Violin Pickup for an electro-acoustic and a massiv electric violin.
Now i work on an electric violin with my magnetic pickup system. It will be available soon!
I will show you, here on YT.
      No patience? Check out...

thanks, i developed this magnetic pickup for all bowed instruments.

Great stuff - I was wondering if you have considered making a driver pickup? "Infinite" sustain on an electric violin - what an interesting sound that might be!
If you were to make such a pickup, how would you go about it, using this video as reference?
    Thanks!

interesting thought, like the e-bow, just included. I am afraid of having not enough space unless someone is ok with a short fingerboard

@@CJKViolin Yeah that's the general concept! I see your point though...that could be tricky to get around, but maybe there is a way? Maybe winding the pickups long (along the string) and flat could work? Anyway - the seed of an idea has been planted! I've been researching driver pickups and small amp circuits for work on a similar thing with other instruments. Maybe we can share info if you also go ahead with it? Because the details of those driver pickups and the amp circuit to go with them, have been shrouded in mystery. Deliberately shrouded in mystery I believe.

building the magnetic pickup for the single string electric violin

Hi CJK Violin. This is great ! I need 6 of these pickups for my acoustic-electro 16" viola/violin. I try to make them, no where to buy ? In fact, I make a 6 string "violectra-like" instrument for myself. (Last Year I made one for myself already). This time I want to use these pickups. Piezo pickups are not so clear on low frequencies and the signal of piezo pickups is weak. I also do not want to use a "microphone"-acoustic pickup because this also picks up other sounds from the environment. What can you advise me ?

Hello!, i already make this pickup for my electric violins with 4 strings, its much more challenging to built for multiple strings so it only comes with my electric violin & i also tested it on an acoustic violin, with steel strings of course. Both work great on electric guitar amps.
I am not able to sell them for other violins yet, because it has a unique mounting technique wich is well elaborated on my electric violin and it will not work with most of other violins.

Thank you. Do you use regular white glue for this or is it a specific type of glue?

    • @CJKViolin

***** i use white glue but it has to be able to dry - the sides are wooden and so it can.

I see. So this glue just keeps the coils of wire from vibrating. Kind of similar to wax potting guitar pickups but with glue. Thanks for the quick response.

Hi, What wire gauge do you use for those pickups?

ThePowertide allerdings, diese art Magnettonabnehmer wird es dann auch für 4 Saitige E- Geigen geben, das wird noch spannend. Zur zeit mach ich damit die einsaitige, elektronische übungs Geige.
