I cant afford to live here, I was born here, I grew up here, I work in Tech, at a good job. I can't afford to keep living ANYWHERE PGE is a provider, between rent increases, and they utilities increase is TOO MUCH
The Companies that are demanding these changes should be paying for those changes, my house is not using more power... Infact were using less and paying more.

These power hungry data centers don't provide a lot of ongoing jobs either. It's highly automated now compared to just 10 years ago. Literally a handful of people work in these massive buildings with tens of thousands of computers, and with continued advancements, most of them won't be needed much longer either. It's kind of funny. Citizens pay for the infrastructure, pay for EV subsidies which suck immense amounts of power, and pay the rate increases caused by companies with massive data centers like Facebook and Google (both in Oregon) to censor and spy on them which they profit off of.

Make these companies pay for the increase. Why are the citizens having to pay for this?! Pope thinks we are some dummies about load growth. Ok…..

I think residential rate increases should not be affected by growth in industrial demand. If industrial demand requires more revenue, raise industrial rates more!!

As a stake holder i love it . 20 percent monthly should be mandatory, as well as a gas and oil ban. mandate .

It would be nice for the press to shine some lite on property taxes in Salem. Property taxes are going up because majority of the land is owned by the state of Oregon and the state is excluded from property taxes so normal residents pick up the slack

PGE has increased security measures since the killing of Brian Thompson, the chief executive of UnitedHealthcare.

Please tell me they aren't selling power out of state and raising prices here at the same time.

I'm sure that CEO loves that the news just showed her name and photo multiple times..... But I'm sure her security just got a boost.

Well, as long as we've got a tax and spend Democrat government, why not just pass a State Ordinance requiring data centers to have 744 hours worth of battery capacity on site? Once charged, that gives a data center a full month with intermittent supply from the grid.

While either Host would have been acceptable, Congrats on the new Job - Blair! as you kindof were my 1st Choice! And as i just got my annual review this month for my Monthly Equal Pay, it is now nearly $100 a month for a smaller than 300 sq.ft. apartment! its just too much! I cannot afford even this amount!!

Rise in Infrastructure investments are due to data centers.
