    on other reviews, they say that Z-breathe cannot be turned off and settings are limited to 1-3 meaning Z-breathe cannot be turned off.
    but you mention that Z-breathe can be switched between 0 and 3.
    is 0 setting mean that Z-breathe can actually be turned off?

      @@disbsam333 Resmed Airmini. Good company and products and fair service. Avoid Breas at all cost. I have no affiliation with either of them, just painful experience like many others with Breas products and the company itself. Probably the worst customer experience in my lifetime of 70 years.

    The last Z1 I bought had an internal battery that died after approximately 3 years giving a fault 33 code making it useless. Has this been fixed? I liked the portability and features of the first one but am reluctant to buy another one of their products.

      Hey Nick,
      Most travel machines life span is 3-5 years due to how small the motor is compares to a full time machine. The more you use it the sooner the machine will need to be replaced.
      Unfortunately this is still the case.

    • @nickdubeau8541

      @@RespShop Completely understandable. Like I said the Z1 was a great unit. It was unfortunate as a travel unit I only used it 3 times over that period when I travelled. The main issue I had with the design is that the battery was soldered in and not easy to access to be able to be changed by the user. This is something I look for now in travel machines.

    So what if you are on a backpacking trip and can't charge batteries? 9 hours isn't long enough, I need like 3-4 nights worth of charge on the battery. Are there options for this that don't weight a lot?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, in this case we'd recommend a battery with a longer runtime such as the Zopec Explore 5700 Battery. This battery provides around 24 hours runtime for the Z2 on a fixed pressure of 10 cm H2O and you can charge it via a portable solar panel.

    Do you have any tips for where to place this CPAP at night while in use? I can't find a mount for it like the AirMini. I don't want it to fall on the floor, and I can't afford the battery pack yet.

    • @RespShop

      Hi there,
      we have some patients who place it inside their night stand drawer and leave the drawer open for the machine to be able to get adequate airflow. If you do not have a drawer, we recommend to place it on top of a small box on the ground.

      I've used the Z2 for over a year and a half, I've used it while on a cruise, and while traveling between hotels. Completely understand not wanting it to fall on the floor. While on my cruise, we had limited space in the stateroom, but still managed to make it work by bringing an extension cord (about 8 feet) because there wasn't an outlet on the side I was sleeping on. During that cruise, I was able to place the Z2 on the small cubicle style night stand without a problem. While traveling between hotels, I have been able to place the unit on a furniture piece that I have pulled close to the bed, even with the 4 foot hose, I have never had a problem with the unit falling on the floor. Hope this helps.

    The issue with the Air Mini is not noise from the machine, but the air noise blowing through the mask. No one has really explained why it does that but most everyone complains about it. The air is so loud it is simply unusable. I just saw your video on the VCON adapter. Mine is brand new, not using the humidifier piece and the filters are obviously clean. If all it does is smooth out the in/out, it will still be loud. How loud is the air on the Breas Z2? Thank you!

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching! The Breas Z2 is 26 decibels compared to the 30 decibels that's the AirMini

      @@RespShop Can you provide an answer based on experience rather than technical specifications that may not align with reality? I'm also curious about the Z2's sound performance compared to the AirMini, specifically regarding the noise generated in the tubing during inhalation and exhalation.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@waybetter6276 With the Z2, the airflow noise in the tubing is quieter - less of a darth vadar sound when compared to the AirMini. But the noise also depends on the mask you use and using the muffler that's included with the Z2 helped decrease the noise even more.

    i have a questions and when it comes to the HME- for the z2 it says it must be replaced every 7 days- since the unit cost 12.41 per unit that seems very expensive to me- am I miss reading this.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  6 месяцев назад

      Nope, you're not misreading the info. Heat moisture exchangers lose their effectiveness over time. You're right that this cost adds up over time - another reason why we recommend using a travel CPAP only for travel and not as a full time unit.

    How compare the Z2 with the Q-lite connector in terms of noise cancelling among, for example, the Micro Trascend and the Air Mini? Is that piece successfully enough to leave behind both of them? Will be interesting to watch a video with a comparison among them and listen the different levels to compare. Just a suggestion. ☺️

    I have a Z2. The device works well and I like that it can be powered off of 12v power. There is a definite high-pitched squeal when I breath and it is annoying enough to keep me from falling asleep at times. The power shell is absolute overpriced junk. The battery on mine was toast with minimal use in about a year. I now use a rechargeable 12v lithium-iron-phosphate battery, which is lighter and smaller than the power shell.

      I am sorry to hear the machine didn't work well for you!
      How you store the device is very important, especially if the device is not being used for several months/years at a time.
      Contact where you purchased the device from, if it was right outside the warranty period most providers would assist with pushing through a warranty!

    I bought mine 15 months ago. It worked OK for the 1st year and then failed. It's been 11 weeks since I returned it and still no repair or replacement. They clearly don't value repair/service under warranty.

    How does z2 compare to other machines regarding enerugy consumption ?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Год назад +1

      The Power Consumption for the Brea's is 20W (30VA) compared to the ResMed Airmini (27W). The Breas seems to be on the lower end then most machines.
