lost my touch with art for more than a year and I'm going back at it cause it's the only thing that makes me feel alive and this is the first art piece I'm making, thank you for making this ♥️
Decided to get back into painting so this is nice to follow along to. Very relaxing. I’ve been having a very difficult time in my life and this is probably the most peace I’ve felt in a very long time. Thank you 😌🧡
I've just done this tutorial with the paints I got for Christmas - I have now learnt I need to work on my colour mixing and blending but it turned out pretty good considering it's my second painting with the medium! Thank you!
I know this was six months ago but using a white palette may help you, it makes it easier to tell what color you have. If you noticed, in this video, when she mixes a purple tone it becomes pink enough that you can't really tell what it looks like because of the pink palette.
i love these types of videos!! i followed along exactly this time real time with you and it was relaxing but gotta say my painting looks kinda shitty hahaha but im bad at painting waves and water anyway.... been trying to work on it
Hi, i think it's amazing that: 1. You can paint while explaining your thoughts process. 2. Create the correct hue with a pink palette! I'm a bit afraid of painting seascapes... But honestly, your video is packed full of information, to the point that i want to overcome my fear! Thank you so much!
Awesome tutorial Jess! Will be applying your techniques on an upcoming watercolor painting of mine - as your video demonstrates, the key is patience 👍👍👍
I just found your channel and I love your videos! I’ve been experimenting with Acryla Gouache although I’m still not sure how I want to paint with it. I normally use watercolour. Your videos are really relaxing to watch and your paintings are so pretty! Beautiful work!
This is a wonderfully informative video on how to use the himi gouache which is wonderful! I have been struggling with how to use the paints so I will definitely be using some of your advice the next time I paint. Thank you!!!
I like to keep mine moist by spraying water on the paints and on the lid before closing it! I also like to mix it while spraying little bits of water to the paints and mine is still in a really good consistency after a month🙆🏻♀️❤️
OMG i love you,re gouach set😊 i have the himi miya 56 gouache set. I,ve painted 2 mini paintings on cardboard. One sea scape sun set and a cloud in the shape of a heart in the sky. I glued water colour paper on the cardboard. I love to draw and paint on them. I don,t like canvasses. They are too bouncy for me. They are my favoriet diy canvas boards that i made my self. I made diffrent sizes. I love you,re gouache seascape painting. One thing that bothers me about the 56 himi miya gouache set is it doesnt come whit a pallet. So i used my home made glass pallet for my gouache paints. 🌊😱😁👍🏾👋🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾☁️
Hello Jess Chung. How are you doing? I can,t find a refill of zinc white. I can get allot of refill off titanium white. My question is do i need both? I love you,re paintings😊
i found finallyglad( press m seal ) it's a really good cling wrap because it like glue on one side and if u peel it when u open the gouache it should stay fresher ,,,,,, i hope anyway
Hi Jess I’m a new subbie to your channel. It’s been 1.5 years since you reviewed this gouache Himi set, are you still using it and recommend it. Trying to ‘get into’ gouache painting.Tfs!
Hi, I am thinking of trying jelly gouache. How have you found it working with a pink pallet? Does it change the way that the colours look when you mix them compared to how they appear on white paper?
Are you creating this image in your mind as you go along painting? Or did you have a reference photo to match the colors to and the wave placement? I was just curious because you keep saying things throughout the video about what color the water is in certain places even though you haven’t put them in there yet. This is one of the most beautiful tutorials I have watched in a long time. Thank you so much for teaching us how to do this piece.
I hope my above question makes sense, I’m just really curious because I’m about to order myself my first set of gouache paints and I want to know how to do the things you did. I know I can follow this tutorial when my paints come in, but then I wonder how I can create my own brand new paintings from my mind or if I should begin by looking at reference photos of some sort. When you were mixing your beautiful colors for the sand and stuff it just made me curious if you were creating in your mind what the sand should look like or if you were looking at a photo and trying to make that same color. You seem like an excellent person to as for advice from and I’ve already learned a lot from watching your tutorial!
Hello! I am painting from a reference photo (you can find a link in the description). I almost always use a reference photo for my paintings. Hope you enjoy painting with gouache when you get your first set!

Please may I share where I found real life- deep peace - and THEN with those attitudes, painting -> wow!

Yes I do still use it and recommend it! I have a more recent video about my thoughts on himi gouache after using it for a year!
안녕하세요. 작지만 좋은 작업입니다. 잘 보고 갑니다.^^*

Hi, I am thinking of trying jelly gouache. How have you found it working with a pink pallet? Does it change the way that the colours look when you mix them compared to how they appear on white paper?
Hasn't been an issue for me! I also have the yellow himi box with the yellow palette and it doesn't affect me much.
Wow 👍🏻
Hii.... oryx artwork.... lets connected,
I am loving your video. I would love to know what color of white that you are using 🥰
I am new to painting but I finally realized that you had two pans of white 🥰
One is titanium white the other is mixing white, I have the set as well and didnt notice any difference
Beatriz Rosabel Lukban , thanks very much. How do you like this brand gouache?
I am trying to figure out what I would need to get started 👍🥰
@@tammyste1 Im a beginner as well and its so good! I dont feel bad using it because its not that expensive. I highly recommend!
I also agree the two whites don’t show much difference when I mix them with other colours!
hii, i got a question! i just got the palette and i wonder if i can keep it on his side when the jellies are opened?

This is one of the most beautiful tutorials I have watched in a long time. Thank you so much for teaching us how to do this piece.
Also I’m hoping to be this good at mixing colors and making things look realistic ❤️
