If your Goal Is for your children to Learn Luganda then that school could be okay, but for only a year or two. They deserve a better school bambi. Anyway just saying. Happy birthday Elena. May life be kind to you.
GrandMa is disgusted. Truthfully even Ugandans don't want their kids in a school like this, you will destroy their futures completely. You rather home school. These schools even teach broken English in local dialect, very hard to change on grown kids.
Happy birthday. I’ve notice that Mother and Grandmother hairs is beautiful. The girls hair is beautiful and is rarely done. Any reason why? Happy family children are well and adjusting to the move.
Thank you so much! And they will get their hair braided again when they are willing to. For now, they just cry too much having to maintain long hair, so we cut it regularly. We used to braid it or have it braided, but it just got too much for them and us 😅 Hoping they are able to handle having long hair again, soon, though!
Mummy shouldn't have been forced into this video. She is not happy about something but you also need to seat her down, and explain the benefits of this Rich experience for this American kids, it's a life they will be grateful you gave them .I can relate. You are bringing them up to be humble, sociable and appreciative of whatever life brings.Mummy does understand this bcos of the "japa thing" and she has forgotten to relate that being close to nature will yield result later Those earlier childhood where money was not dividing class shaped alot including Anu and her siblings. No offence meant but mummy should look back and be appreciative of her roots and backgrounds. Ansd lwt this children have a taste of Africa despite their skin colour which will favor them subsequently until then this is a harmless association for this family,if you ask them .After all where do we all end, sand to sand!
You leave America for this kind of poverty education? Even Ugandans despise this for their own kids. Please don't waste thes kids futures in these schools. Because of poverty, most of these kids have bad manners from home because parents aren't fully available due to poverty. Please help your kids, this is not fun to watch, at all.
Please tell me a school which has no ill mannered kids in Uganda. These village kids might be better cos usually parents work with their kids. The hustle is less cos the standard of living is low. Villages are not overcrowded like towns. There is also less tv and social media in villages. Expensive schools are even worse cos there you find many parents who spend less time with their children cos they have to hustle leaving them at home with maids which maids we do not know how they were raised. I once got a maid who would utter out obscene words easily and I managed to stop her cos I was around. I also took my kids to one expensive religious boys boarding school where they learnt obcsene words in just one term. I had to get them out and took them to day school where I could atleast do some limited watching myself. My dear, schools these days are not easy and safe for our children. The best would be homeschooling but they also need to socialise with others. This setting is not bad, the parents can also help the kids where necessary.
@@mariatheresa2755 Please wake up. You don't leave the land of milk and honey, the greatest nation ever to come down and live a life like this. There's something wrong somewhere and i just can't place it. These kids dont eat any meats, sausage, chicken or pork but are fed on beans and some greens. This is food torture for little ones, even the school is real tortue. The calibre of trained teachers and their remuneration can not gurantee quality education. This is all so wrong on many levels especially if you have options. These are Americans, highly educated and can do better for themselves and family. I love this family and want to see them thrive. Am praying for them.
I dont think this couple mind about their children learning very good English because they were in America where they could learn it for free but they didnt. English is a big deal for us Ugandans but not for some people. I think these ones just mind about their children being able to communicate in English but not so much of a big deal. We have different tastes and preferences and also priorities in life.
They are surrounded by English in our house: their parents speak it to each other, their "aunties" speak it to them, they speak it with neighbors, most of our books are in English and almost all of our movies are in English, not to mention their schooling is in English, so they are versed in many dialects of English and need extra support to keep up their other languages, because English will overpower everything even though it is not their first language.
As for "good" English, there are Englishes and Englishes in this world, so the more variety of exposure they get, the better they will be at communicating globally. However, we do work with them on English grammar regularly (some Ugandan village English is spoken very crudely and comes across as inappropriate and rude, like "you come here!", so we teach them polite grammar so that they don't come across as rude when speaking with family). As they get older and solidify their grammar in their first languages, then we'll help them even more on English to prepare them for life.
Exactly my point dear. People here are stressed with the look of the school yet even many prominent figures here went to such schools and even worse. Parents have a big job to do in their children’s lives. My son goes to one of the best schools in Kampala but we always correct his grammar and tenses. Children learn a lot from their homes so parents have to be much involved, not to let everything for teachers.
I love how the kids read or play outside with no gadgets to distract them. So natural and authentic.
Ah! I love this, the kids are multilingual and we’re so adorable dancing with grandma 🥰 They seem so happy. Food looks yummy too.
