@@partnermammoth2562 Bruh there are like three basic units in the game for each faction:infantry,cavalry and archers. If their crossbow units were good too they’d end up being very OP. Honestly Swadia is the strongest faction in open field battles.
One time, I was allied with the Swadians as a vassal of Harlaus. After we defeated every other faction, the khergites were the only ones left. So we took all of their land. Normally, this is where the lords defect until the country is no more and I win the game. That's not what happened this time. Instead, the butterlord King Harlaus proceeded to INDICT EVERYONE FOR TREASON! And at the same time, the khergites wouldn't defect! So, we ended up having no lords left despite owning every single fief in Calradia! Just dozens of single lord parties running around at 10.0 speed and looting villages. That was the last time I played the game.
Harlaus: "I need your help taking a castle." Player: "I can't, I'm looting." Harlaus: "I'll let you keep the castle." Proceed to make swift hast to the castle. Proceed to take the castle. "After "seeking counsel" with the vassals of the realm, King Harlaus has concluded ownership of the castle to King Harlaus." Player: "One does not simply take castles from me." Player proceeds to destroy all of Swadia.

Once I started with Swadia, everything went smooth at the start, conquered the Nord territory, and as soon as the Nords were out, Swadia decides to go into war with both Sarranids and Rhodoks. Fast forward to the point where both forementioned factions conquered the now defeated Nord territory, splitting it up among themselves, and turned to face Suno & Praven. Well, king of the feasts Harlaus decides now is the good time to invite everyone for a feast in Praven, while I’m trying to defend Suno from Sarranids after succesfully defeating the Rhodoks trying to attack the city first, literally both factions had their armies on our doorstep while Harlaus and every other other Swadian lord is holed up in Praven, not giving a rat’s ass about Swadia’s impending defeat. After the Sarranids managed to defeat me, I go ”you know what, f this” and become a vassal for the Rhodoks. Fast forward like couple of in game weeks, Swadia is no more and Rhodoks control the whole center of the map, from Praven up until the desert, including the former Nord territory. But behold, king Graveth of Rhodoks has decided to follow the ancient customs of the butter lord, and now holds a feast three times in one week, while I, with some other lords, try to keep up with a stalemate of a war, capturing castles for a few days before the enemy gets them again. Long story short, while the lords were feasting, I started my own faction and put an end for their 24/7 binge partying, which wasn’t difficult, ’cause the only time any of their armies moved, they basically went from one town town or castle into another to continue their feast
As soon as Bannerlord hits, I'm gonna split the Vlandian Vacation, claim the throne of Swadia, and become the Butterlord myself. None may stand in my way.
Harlaus Jr will make Swadia great again. Hopefully you can name your faction to make the dream more real, Swadia the fourth reich, a 1000 year dynasty.
In my game I left Swadia because they lost all of there cities and only have 3 castles left but before I left right after loosing Praven they called for a feast.
In my game Swadia actually fared very well. They got Grunwalder castle and Veluca from the Rhodoks, Halmer from the Khergits and Jelbegi and Knudarr from the Nords.
In my game i sides with Swadia and now we are wrecking both Rhodoks and Nords. Still at war with Nords but Rhodoks are pretty much on the path of being wiped out with Yalen, Veluca and Jelkala being Swadian controlled.

I established my Kingdom by defecting from the Vaegirs and taking over a castle from the Swadians. I was in a really weak point because I made the move too early with hope that lords would come to help, but long story short I proceeded to take over Swadia completely and recruited almost the entire faction into my new kingdom lol. One thing I realized is Swadian lords are very effective at helping to take and control territory.

That beginning part of the video is the most accurate part of my experience with Swadia. I am helping my marshal to siege a castle from the nords when all of a sudden we are called for a feast. Because of this we lost our territory left and right. And you know what's even more hilarious? The counts including myself defected to join the Rhadoks. That alone tells me that the king is a lousy leader and is an easy target lose.
One of the greatest things about this game are the personalitys and quirks of the kings and lords, and how consistant they are at it, its why this game is amazing and one of the reasons i still play it even with bannerlord starting to actually work, warband just has so much charm
Due to Harlaus’s shenanigans I’ve never even questioned joining his ranks as a vassal, because under literally anyone else I’d have a much higher chance of getting the castle I rightfully own after besieging it

I loved the swadians and King harlaus. Up until I captured a castle alone, and he gave it to some new guy who had joined prior. That's how my kingdom started, now we're on a warpath to destroy harlaus and swadia.
Yup, that sums it up. All I can remember is spending endless hours waiting for "fat Harlaus" as I called him to get off his spotted ass and do something useful maybe.
I did a playthrough where I started out with the Sarranids, got two towns and defected. I had the Swadians, Nords, Sarranids and those Mongols pests up my ass and I was still able to conquer every Swadian town except Suno, and that's only because the Nords started sieging and raiding my castles.
