Tag Heuer Connected (2020) Review | Stylish Swiss Smartwatch

  • Review of the new Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch, a 2020 refresh of the original Wear OS watch packing that premium Swiss design. You've got an almost comprehensive range of fitness tracking and golf fans are especially well catered for. But the Tag Heuer Connected 2020 is also one of the most expensive wearables around at £1500 in the UK.
So is it worth that cash? Well, if money isn't a problem and you're into your golfing and Swiss style, then this is the smartwatch for you. For the rest of us, your best option is to go for a cheaper Wear OS option like the Fossil Gen 5. This packs just as many great features and full Wear OS support, at a fraction of the cost.
Still, I've enjoyed using the new Connected for this review. The exclusive watch faces are smart and fully customisable, while the Tag Heuer sports app is a slick, simple way to track your exercise sessions.
What's your favourite smartwatch right now? Let us know what you're rocking on your wrist and check out my videos on some of the other great wearables you can grab right now.

I'd expect to spend that on a genuine analogue Tag watch but not on a fossil gen 5 in a fancy casing. Keep up the good reviews--I've purchased 2 items off the back of your reviews and not disappointed 👍

As a former owner of this watch (sent it back to TH) let me add one advice. Don't buy it. Besides all the problems that you can read about on the Internet (battery, connection, BT), it is a china-made (not Swiss made) and is based on the chipset, or rather SoC, which is several years old. You may read that the Snapdragon 3100 is a slight modification of the 2100, with no significant improvement. In other words, with Snapdragon 4100 already available, what you get is a half-backed OS (Wear OS is another story), which is running on the old and ineffective processor.

I nearly ordered it today but wanted to sleep on it since nothing would be shipped for next 6 days due to holidays.
However after learning it is Chinese made amd NOT made in Switzerland, then it is not worth thr price of nearly GBP1995!
      Appreciate your diligence and help.

Walked into a TH store in Zurich with the intention of purchasing this watch. When I asked the sales person to tell me about the watch, he was actually honest about the watch's shortcomings. I thanked him and left. He saved me 2 grand and countless headaches. I was very grateful.

For that price, you can get 1.5 or 2 Garmin Fenix 6x pro solars with the titanium and orange silicone band, better apps, better battery life, 1/2 the screen resolution which you might not notice, swim tracking, SPO2 monitoring, sleep tracking, basically twice the watch for half the price.

The problem with smart watches at £1000-£2500 is the tech is outdated year after year and resale value nose dives so you’re much better spending your money on a classic watch such as an aqua racer for the same money.

  • @thomassarver7638

Bought it with the silver band, then purchased the rubber band. Reason, the silver band is $1,950.00 vs the rubber band @ $1,850.00. The silver band as an accessory is $450.00, the Rubber band is $100.00. I also adjusted the silver band myself, tricky but do able. Otherwise you need to take the sliver band to a Tag distributor for adjustment. What I like about the watch is that I track my steps. I have and Apple Watch and the activities that do on the Apple Watch, including my steps are transferred to the Tag Watch, however the opposite is not true. My final thoughts is that I love the watch.

I LOVE how classy this watch looks BUT it has some major downsides for the amount of money your spending. This watch NEEDS to throw in the kitchen sink for $2000. Battery life cant suck. You cannot spend all this money on a watch and it will barely last a day. Once you start sending/receiving a bunch of texts that alone will run the battery down. Another major downside is NOT being able to make/take phone calls. Even if you cant reply to messages you should be able to use the watch to take and make phone calls. I cant wait for Samsung to come out with a sophisticated watch like this that includes ALL of its features.

Just buy the Samsung smart watch. Download one of the tag look alike faces and boom you have a 2k smart watch.

80% of the purchase price is for the name alone, £4£ tech4tech look4look the Galaxy 2 46mm beats the brakes of it hands down, you could cop one of those spend a few £s to customise to your liking and have at least £1200 to spend towards a whole list of items that would be money better spent, a top of the line Drone, electric bike, mountain bike, electric scooter, an entry level Gibson guitar, a 5 star weekend in a country retreat, a four star for two in santorini, two High class call girls to visit you in your home or your garden shed or a season ticket to your local football club, the list would never end instead of paying for another round of drinks for the designer sitting on the Tag yacht off the coast of the Virgin islands having a laugh at your expense. And just remember every single function on any watch you buy exists on your phone so regardless you're paying twice for the same shyt......🥸 ask yourself why.

There doesn't seem to be much difference between the Tag Connected and any other smart watch out there other than the $2300!! Bloody rip off!!! Here in Aus it is currently $2900. Love the brand, not the price of this rip off though!!

When you buy a Tag Huer you don't just buy a watch. You buy a Tag, a watch with extremely rich history and guaranteed quality.

What!!! 1500 pounds smartwatch is not good to buy this day unless maybe if the battery will last for 30days. There is always a new and updated smartwatch every quarter. Even Huawei GT2 will win over this watch if we disregard the brand. I would rather buy Honor Magic Watch 2 over this or Garmin smartwatches.

It's quite ugly, looks old and not its price. Certainly better looking and well built Wear OS watches out there.
