I was just there yesterday. I am happy to share this video with family members back home on Skype, it shows very nicely the size of the tank and viewing area, with a great opening shot to capture your attention, unlike some others that build 5 minutes of boring video and loosing your audience before getting a glimse of the immensity of this tank.
After watching vids of this tank on youtube I just had to go there. I went last week, and the whole Georgia aquarium is amazing. This tank in particular is spectacular. It was worth the trip.
alright I'm just going to say this based off of just sonar alone scientists have estimated that over 10 million species of fish live in the deep see and we have yet to locate any of them and were talking far down enough that pollution hasn't gotten there. y'all need to rememeber we know more about space than our own ocean
thanks for making this video my 2 year olds loves it we have watched it a few times already and we will probably watch it a couple more times before bed
Hi Carlos, I did use a tripod without incident. To keep crowds at a minimum, I also chose to go on a non-busy day. (a work day after a holiday!) My camera was a Canon Vixia HG21. Glad you enjoyed it.
wowwwww!!!! what an amazing sight!!! it calms me down soooo much looking at these fishes!!! wish i could get a job at maintaining these fishes!! love to work wid them!!! Amazing video!!!
+Briar Fox exactly, although keeping animals out of the wild isn't ok, these fish are protected and are guaranteed to live longer. There a whole ecosystem in that tank.
I agree Brian. It's a sad reality that the aquatic life here lives longer than in the wild with all the illegal hunting, pollution, deposition of chemical waste, plastic. Atleast they are safer here.
For anyone saying poor fishes it's a 6.3 million gallon tank, which is huge, they're well cared for and have much better lives than they would outside of that tank
it's a much better opportunity to research whale sharks than in the wild. by keeping them here more can be learned about them so that we can help keep wild ones alive
@Vanbagle Actually, the larger the aquarium, the easier to maintain! It takes longer for harmful chemicals such as ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite to build up as it would in a smaller tank.
@heartgravity well you can make it a screensaver if you download the video and use dreamscene activator. you may have to convert the video to wmv using windows movie maker. cuz dreamscene only recognizes wmvs and mpgs
Wow. Just gorgeous. They'd hafta throw me out at closing time, cuz i could watch that all day long. I had a 55 gallon aquarium for years, and could look at it for hours. No comparison to THIS aquarium, at what is it, 6,000,000 gallons or so?
The one in Japan has a bigger "window" (by a foot or two). Atlanta's tank is bigger. (The Japanese installed Atlanta's tank "window" using proprietary technology. They would not allow Georgia's "window" to be bigger than their own.) BTW - The window is two feet thick!
The "glass" is actually multiple layers of acrylic (each - one inch thick) laminated together with a secret process (Japan installed it). Total thickness is about 2 feet thick!
@Gingerific123 It is a whale shark and I agree, but you can't really do too much at that point except release it...it is the world largest aquarium at 6.3 million gallons lol.
I was aware of that seeing as it has Georgia Aquarium in big letters at the start. My point was to JTAGLobbiesRus who was saying he thought Japan's was bigger and had 4 whale sharks. I was merely stating this one also has 4 whale sharks.
when I went there, and walked into the large viewing room, a huge group of these small stingrays shot up against the glass and everyone gasped in fascination :D
By judging the size, age, and temperaments of some fish, how species interact with each other, keeping them well feed, and so on. Notice how most of the fish are at least a foot in length. The sharks, in tanks like these, tend to eat the fish that are sick and/or dieing.
Finally I was searching and the 2nd largest , the Kijo sea or something just RUclips it, was to small for the sharks they had, there were no rock formations or anything for that matter the fish looked stressed and there were to many sharks considering they are solitary animals , it looks like they actually thought hard about this onev
@@fernandocouto4774 Crazy, just today I thought about the game again because of this new release "Beyond Blue". Totally forgot about this video though ^^.
Yes, it might be "over stocked". but they don't keep every fish forever. they rehabilitate. and has anyone seen a video of the ocean? some people think thats over stocked too. but its not. fish need room. but They don't generally like being alone.
Are you able to use a tripod in the Georgia Aquarium. Most of the places that I know don't let you to use tripod to film. What equipment you were using in this video? Great footage by the way. Thank you for sharing.
May I use this footage for my music I made? I will credit you but if you don't want me to, I will not use this AT ALL. Thank you for the amazing footage!!!!! It's nice to go to sleep to.
They have this incredible system set up that maintains the system. Look at some of the professional tank setups then think WAY bigger. According to my friend who used to live in Atlanta a Japanese Team sealed the tanks there are actually seams but you can not see them. The technology is so custom to the company they had all employees leave and the cameras turned off so they could install the tank.

So glad to have found this video. Took my kid here and I could have sat in front of this tank for a week! So incredible.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE WATER CHANGES THOUGH?!
***** Hahahaha... at both you guys... :) I have 2 fish tanks... getting ready to set up another 55 gallon... Fish Tank on!!
+Chad Fitzgerald all the amounts of bucks you'd use
they probably have a constant water circulation changing it
Chad Fitzgerald 30% every 2 weeks......
All with 1 PetSmart bucket
I am literally stunned by the beauty of nature and on top of that music just heaven!

Wonderful videos, it lowers blood pressure and we don't even have to clean the tank.
Beautiful, relaxing, just purely beautiful
We just gonna ignore the 2 rays bumping into each other at 0:28? Ok...
They’re different too. One looks like a manta ray, and the other looks like a stingray
i have seen this tank in person...it's so BEAUTIFUL
I really have too mutch trouble in my life I juste watch this video and i really relax thank you so mutch !
Tara... Thank you for the kind remarks. It makes me happy to hear that you are enjoying this video.

wowwwww!!!! what an amazing sight!!!
it calms me down soooo much looking at these fishes!!! wish i could get a job at maintaining these fishes!! love to work wid them!!! Amazing video!!!
Amazing! And these creatures probably live longer and happier than those in the wild. I'd love to dive in this tank.
+telcom6661 Thanks for that. How about another.
+telcom6661 have you no chill
+Roobz Z Some people have lost all wonderment.

GORGEOUS !!!

***** I would be fine with all the other fish, but the whale shark needs to be set free.
it's a much better opportunity to research whale sharks than in the wild. by keeping them here more can be learned about them so that we can help keep wild ones alive
Would you rather live in a tank longer or live free and take risks every day like normal wildlife?
Kris D well there is sharks in this tank... lol
I always enjoy watching these video's :) Hope to go there someday...too bad I live in Holland :P
This goes on my wish list of things I want see!
Wunderschön aufgenommen, vielen Dank!
This is so cool and the bright aquarium with the music is so relaxing :)
@Vanbagle Actually, the larger the aquarium, the easier to maintain! It takes longer for harmful chemicals such as ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite to build up as it would in a smaller tank.
Been here several times, it's beautiful!
@heartgravity well you can make it a screensaver if you download the video and use dreamscene activator. you may have to convert the video to wmv using windows movie maker. cuz dreamscene only recognizes wmvs and mpgs
Absolument magnifique,
Merci.
This is much larger even than it appears on here. It's a several acre affair. This is one of the coolest tanks in the world.

I thought about this before I saw your comment.
Overstocked
a single ghost shrimp
Haha

Love this Video!

@SuperLilred13 In Georgia. (It's the Georgia Aquarium)
this is so relaxing
when I went there, and walked into the large viewing room, a huge group of these small stingrays shot up against the glass and everyone gasped in fascination :D
Must be some filter systems. That's a lot of fish even for that huge of an aquarium. Beautiful though.
If there's a heaven, which I find too good to be true, then this is it.

I've been there and its amazing if any of you ever get the chance you should really go
this is really relaxing when ur trying to fall asleep :D
I have been there! It is awesome!
Gavin Campbell where is it?
Looking at my 20g aquarium and feeling like a total failure.

D0M1N0R 36 gal LOL same

Finally I was searching and the 2nd largest , the Kijo sea or something just RUclips it, was to small for the sharks they had, there were no rock formations or anything for that matter the fish looked stressed and there were to many sharks considering they are solitary animals , it looks like they actually thought hard about this onev
Amazing must go there:)
@Termato Oh also, you can't see how big this tank really is by this video it is only showing a small section of it.
Beautiful
Yess referring to the screensaver it should be but without the heads and a still camera..
very cool video
I like that kind of music
@TheHappycatMr Zero. Neon tetras are not marine fish. :)
WOW WOW WOW WHERE IS THAT PLACE?
I and my family saw this up close and personal-Positively "OH WOW !!! "
I want a koi pond aquarium version of this. Is there any huge tank filled with koi fish somewhere?
The music is very nice
How can you dislike this Uh wait a minute it must be the Fish !
Ah, that reminds me of endless ocean, where you can set up your own huge aquarium... Was quite a long time ago...
I remember that.
@@fernandocouto4774 Crazy, just today I thought about the game again because of this new release "Beyond Blue". Totally forgot about this video though ^^.

Wonderful

Fantastic
I'd love to be able to download this and use as a mediation tool.
1.how do they feed the fish 2.how do they change the water 3.how did they get the fish in the tank and 4.what would they do when the fish die

Yes, you may use the footage.... just let me know when I can watch it!
Are you serious? This is so beautiful and so amazing. Thank you so much. I am so grateful.
how on earth do they do a water change? i imagine just a average garden hose? lmaooo
Probably like a 100 garden hoses
no water change just a massive filtration system. There are 206 pumps and about 30 particle sifters that filter the entire thing in an hour
A glass cup n 29 years out of your life

ive been there hoping to go again soon i live an hour away so hoping to go soon
@TheJoshter6 where is it id love to go to it (like state not where you live haha)
Wow what a great aquarium but how are they able to give them so much food
literally how I feel reading any aquarium forums on how to care for my betta.
its soooo beautiful but could u imagine being right in front of that and the glass break ( i wanna be a fish and live in there)
I'll be happy if I had this aquarium !
how do they make the glass that big is my question?
