Thanks, dude.. this is live... the original (studio) that I heard on radio in the mid-seventies was amazing.... sax was also there.. but came in later... but this still feels to me like "freedom"... driving home from work on a Friday afternoon.. sun shining, windows down.. whole weekend ahead.. appreciate your reaction..
Song about London. 70’s jam. Gerry Rafferty was awesome. “Right Down the Line” is the jam, along with this one.
Every one of your regular viewers knew you would love this song
Baker Street is in London and was made famous in the Sherlock Holmes lore.
The UK's Special Operations Executive (SOE), which operated from 1940 to 1946, had its headquarters at 64 Baker Street. One of the nicknames for the group was "the Baker Street Irregulars", which was the name of the street boys Sherlock Holmes used for intelligence gatheing.
The difference in the the different sections of the song is what is called "dynamics". Most songs go up and down throughout. Some songs start soft and gradually get more loud and intense. Some just rock hard all the way through. Etc...
One of the sexiest pieces of Sax ever!
Wooof...the sound quality on that video left something to be desired. But it seems like the essence of the song came through. It is indeed one of the all-time great saxophone solos. "Right Down the Line" is another great song by Gerry.
City to City LP, ate it up in college. "Right Down The Line"... MY very favorite is "The Ark"
Live performances usually are good, but the screeching in this one hurt my ears! Do yourself a favor and listen to the studio version. ❣
Exactly...the clarity of the song is pristine.
Wouldn't say they are usually good. This version totally sucks
This song (Baker Street) is from early 1978 👍
Were u captured as a youth and held in a sound proof booth for the beginning of your life?? How else have u avoided hearing this song from every... single.....advert..... ever 😂❤
Drift away by Dobie Gray is a 70s classic hit
I think someone really liked this one.
You def need to check out Right Down the Line now, love me some Rafferty, super smooth
Yikes! This is an awful live recording. Jerry Rafferty is amazing. This did not show that at all. The studio version is much better.
Old favourite this one!❤
this song rules!!!
☮️💙💙💙🔥🔥😍😎
This is far inferior to the studio track.
Worst version of it I've ever heard.
The sound is even bad smh 🤷
If you are so impressed with your own voice that you can never let a song go more than 30 or 40 seconds without hearing it ..... Great good for you. As for myself I'm not so impressed. It might help if you had anything interesting to say. While I'm positive you think you have entertaining and interesting things to add each time you open your mouth ........ I am just not feeling it. You keep doing you and I will take my time and eyeballs and ears elsewhere. It's really great that a person as seemingly self centered and conceited as yourself has an outlet. I will be avoiding this type of content but who knows I could be in the wrong. Maybe you are as special as you and your mother think you are.
OMG. What took you so long?
You need the studio version. This is very low quality by comparison
Why always the most horrible recording of songs MrL? 🤮

Did he react to a song, or kill your mother? To have a reaction to a song, one must REACT, it's his job, literally, to do exactly what you're telling him not to.... Does he come to Taco Bell and tell u which direction to stir the mince?
