Wow... this man is the most sincere and genuine among them all. You can see it in his eyes! You can see and feel how happy he was when he was doing this interview. He's not just telling a story. He's giving his whole heart and showing that he really appreciates all those things. It's so amazing. He embraced the culture and showed respect for our food. I don't eat sardines but the way he described it made me want to try eating it. He made me feel bad about not appreciating everything that we have here. Thank you for man. God bless you more.
+Jon Tillas I served in the Philippines, too. The food is amazing! I really wish more people knew about Filipino culture and languages. It's just a happy place.
This guy makes Filipinos smile. Like really. If you love Filipino food then you are a Filipino by heart. I literally smiled at your description and seeing your face it seemed like you really anjoyed your food adventures. Haha
Of all the interviews that I've heard from a foreigner about Filipino food, he's by far at the top of my list. His comments are genuine and true. I definitely agree on his comments about fruits and acquired taste. Thank you for being so appreciative.
He remembered every name of Filipino food (Our food) that he taste! And it's so touching like someone from other part of the globe saying that our food was so amazing! I wish I could see him and talk to him about other filipino foods like adobo, sinigang, kaldereta, menudo, and other ulam! I will be grateful if I can do that! And I'm proud to be a Filipino :)
I've had rice, soy sauce and "betsin" as my survival food when our economy was down.....I thank my Jesus for blessing me with rice.....when there's all we had to eat.
It's fun to watch him. you can really see how much he miss the food here. he cant stop telling stories. you can see his eyes glow and cheeks turn red as he gets excited with every food he talked about.

The pineapple in the U.S. has a slightly bitter edge to it. In the Philippines, there is no bitter edge. It's just pure sweetness. Same with the bananas. Everything tastes better in the Philippines. Except spaghetti. Leave Italian food alone, Philippines!

They are still lots of Filipinos here in the Philippines who haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior but thanks to you for helping them to draw near to Jesus Christ.
