    Sir ! I have a question.
When a ball is thrown up its velocity is decreasing uniformly i.e: 9.8ms-1 each second.
But when we draw displacement time graph for upward motion the slope(which represents velocity) is variably decreasing. Why is that? Should not it be Uniformly decreasing straight line slope?Sir please help me with this confusion.

As you have mentioned the velocity is changing. So it would make sense that the slope of a position- time graph would also be changing. That is, the line would be curved

just to add, a velocity vs. time graph would give you a straight line with the slope being the acceleration of 9.8 m/s/s. Or how fast the velocity is changing in time.
