I have TruAlerts at my school, they're pretty loud, but not too loud. I could cover my ears and drown out a good bit of it. Not counting the one I was in a class with when we had our test this most recent Friday because at the time that sounded I was in the class with a noticeably weak horn.
It was a box of rubber O-Rings. The Sticker on the front I put on and it says "Alertek 8005 Fire Alarm Control Panel" and the sticker on the back says "Chromate Snap Rings and has a list of part numbers for the different O-Rings (there was a plastic tray in there at one point. I repainted it white and drilled the holes for the lock and conduit and I cut the hole for the window.
The original Alertek(TM) 8005. (now known as the Aletek(TM) 8002.) This is probably the best home made panel I have seen. (Even better than the i 8005)
They have a simplex 4005 simplex 2099 or 4099 tears and simplex true alerts (smart sync) a simplex ceiling mount horn strobe and ceiling mount simplex remote strobes!!
@PatrickG07 Mine don't Because they pay for them if I use ebay to get them for example i just ordered a Pull Station off of ebay and an Edwards Integrity Speaker/Strobe
+NewAgeServerAlarm This isn't about fire alarms, but about circuits. Does a Malibu Light transformer and a car battery share the same voltage? Just thought i'd ask an electronic genius.
NJMoo3652 yeah it has to be FWR you are probably correct. in system test 13 he said his Truealert died probably because of this power supply. Simplex alarms are not made to handle FWR current, only filtered DC.

The round white thing at the bottom? That's the actual switch that activates when the pull is pulled.
