About that controller: We can just hope that one of the good things that will come out of the Corona crisis is that a lot of those useless middle management jerks are removed and that employees are being allowed to think for themselves...
Unfortunately it wont happen, in fact it will be the other way around. Many companies bankrupted due to corona and in some countries due to no government help. That means lots of people lost jobs and will accept a new one even if its super sucky and managers are abusive.

My manager used to stick me with alot of the morning dish guys work (I was night dish), including the drains pans from the grills, which were to be done in the mornings. I started doing them dead last so they'd take forever and I'd make a giant mess. I wasn't allowed to leave until everything was done, so I told them to keep the work coming. It was only after a year that they realized I was getting 25 hours a week of just overtime. They then tried to make me work off the clock. When I threatened to call corporate, they started making the morning dish guy do his fucking job and that was that.

So my grandmother has a lot of cats, and one of her neighbors happens to also LOVE cats. So much that she regularly attempts to STEAL her cats. The first instance was when my cousin had to give away her cat. My grandmother was happy to take the cat, she was a really sweet cat. The cat went missing shortly after and a few months later a familiar looking cat showed up on her neighbors porch. She couldn't prove it was hers, but based on her invading her property and trying to steal several other cats it was highly likely. One of my grandmother cats is named Nancy. She's a sweet cat, and has kittens a lot. Whenever this is near happening the neighbor will be on the property trying to book it with Nancy. It's gotten to a point that whenever kittens are about to come she has to lock them up. Another time the vet gave her two kittens in a cage. My grandmother had to run errands so she left the kittens on her porch. (She had a screened in porch so it was perfectly safe for the cats.) She returns to a woman on her porch trying to take the cage. She goes over to tell her that those are HER cats and the neighbor ACTUALLY tries to DEFEND herself. How do you even defend that? The only other time I remember is when she actually got away with taking Nancy. My grandmother confronted her about this, and the neighbor said- "No this is my cat Mooglely." My grandmother repeated that that was HER cat Nancy, and was eventually able to get her back. This happened all the time, so I can't fit everything, but now my grandmother has moved and it isn't a problem anymore. I have my own little kitten at home and I am just so glad I don't have to deal with somebody like that.
Actual combat boots and workmans boots are the best. They can be expensive but they'll last years (unless you do blacktop in them. Nothing lasts in blacktop). They will easily pay off when your old sneakers or cheapos start falling apart while your boots are still in perfect condition.
I heard the first story on a different channel and OPs dad was only going to let OP stay temporarily while his sister could permanently stay so to me OP should have just been emancipated and lived his best life
The last story really reminds me of what I COULD have had with my grandpa. I might have became an engineer and work for his company. But he had to go. I glad someone else can have this tho.
Good on that one OP for getting away from (and sticking it to) their abusive mother. That was horrible to hear about, but pretty satisfying when the comeuppance commenced.
That first story.. really hits home for me. I grew up in similar physical conditions from my parents not cleaning up after our cats and dogs. I wasn't beaten like OP, though there was constant fighting, screaming, lots of neglect, and a few isolated incidents of physical abuse. I didn't have siblings or other close friends or family since 1. I was never able to have anyone over and am very very shy and 2. the rest of my family is either far away/alienated or just as bad as my parents. I wish there had been someone there to get me out.. good on OP for making it out and getting a chance at a normal life.
The last one reminded me of the time how when I was 2-4 and me and my brother were at our grandma's house and she let us jump on her bed and my bro pushed me off or hurt me or something and Grandma said I could spank him. I was kinda upset so I didn't want to but even though I kinda regret my desision a little, it probably wouldn't have hurt very much. Also my cat is currently folded in half taking a nap and purring.
Omg, I understand the "new manager" drama b.s. I got a new manager at the place I work a couple months ago, and THE DAY THE OLD MANAGER LEFT, the new manager immediately started to make changes, most of them the placement of items on the shelves of the store. We had spent a year and a half optimizing where things should be that would catch the eye of customers. Now, instead of things being bought only a week after being put out, they're sitting there not even being looked at. Also, I'm the only one still left working there from a tightnit group. It's not even fun to work there anymore, the new manager has everyone so tightly wound up..
Hey Just A Dio Who's A Hero For Fun Oh no...I know what the plan is now...the Karens will replace all the managers and soon we will not be able to use managers to protect us...
I was one the channel page keep on refreshing and my notifications on and I had to check my inbox to know the video was on dear God the notification suck
I work in food service and we need to have black, nonslip shoes for safety and most people use a crappy and cheap company to get clogs and tennis shoes for work. I'm the only person I've ever seen in the kitchen who wears construction grade boots and constantly get flack for it, but I'm the only one who doesn't complain about foot/back pain, never had something fall into my shoe, and because they're steel toe i can tank anything falling off of tables.
the first story is how my parents use to teach me how to read and write when i was a 4 to 7 yrs old (trust me this is normal to some asians, but i guess mine was worst (?)) cause everytime i write a cursive letter wrong i get beaten up with a belt, sandal or broom. i still get punched or hit now that i'm fifteen for normal mistakes a teen make.

1st story was so close to accidentally runing mom's entire life 1) child goes missing 2) dogs lose the scent of child by the river 3) the entire house reeks of cleaning chemicals 4) the whole floor shines brightly under the blacklight
I kinda wish the story about the nurses had ended in other students adopting the footwear because of all the added benefits to wearing them. THAT would have been hilarious. still a satisfying ending though
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' I can agree to that. During my first job, the manager I signed on to work under, suddenly had to leave because of family stuff, so we had like ten different managers rotating in and out to fill in until we got a new permanent manager. Each one had their own ideals on the rules, how to follow them, which ones they were lenient or strict on, and how to set up the store. One of them rearranged everything, including moving stands and stock around and one of them took away chairs at certain stations where chairs were necessary, because sitting made us look lazy, even though with the absence of chairs, most of us now had to hunch over to reach what we were working on, and there were quite a few of us who couldn't stand for long periods of time, or who had gone through surgery and were supposed to sit down as much as they could. Manager didn't care. I didn't stay at that job very long.
Second story. Op... are you me? The few months my mom and I lived in an apartment the people above us let their toddler, run, jump, stomp, and scream all day and way later into the night than he ever should have been awake. I finally went upstairs and politely mentioned it to them. The mother sort of apologized then immediately excused the behavior as her toddler 'watching football'. The noise didn't stop until they thankfully moved out a couple months later, and Mom and I moved out not long after.

Young soldiers these days don't get to go what we went through buffing those black boots to a shine like obsidian. Some of the deepest convos I've had with friends is while we were sitting there with the kiwi wax shining boots. I have wide feet so my boot wardrobe included some of those Corcoran jump boots and they were SOOOO comfortable--I wore them on every roadmarch. My ex threw them in the trash as we were splitting up just to get in a jab. I miss those boots!

I'm a manager for 20 years. I've trained other managers for almost half that time and always tell them "if you have a new team, fight the urge to make immediate changes". Your note on new management trying to fix things that are not broken is spot on.
If you are being mistreated at work, be more creative and maliciously comply!

Honestly, hearing things like this actually helped me realize that I was abused and that what I went through wasn't okay. Honestly, my dad was able to admit that he was abusive before I was. That last story was the most Texan story I have ever heard - can confirm as a Texan with a background in petroleum engineering.
I have my own little kitten at home and I am just so glad I don't have to deal with somebody like that.
every grand dad should be big strong and have a heart of gold towards his grand children
Damn I need boots like that, just hearing about them is like a an advertisement lol
Do ! Combat boots are fricking goals lol
Actual combat boots and workmans boots are the best. They can be expensive but they'll last years (unless you do blacktop in them. Nothing lasts in blacktop). They will easily pay off when your old sneakers or cheapos start falling apart while your boots are still in perfect condition.
Damn! I need some combat boots. Unfortunately though, I had my birthday on Sunday so I'm gonna have to buy them myself. (I'm 17)

The last story really reminds me of what I COULD have had with my grandpa. I might have became an engineer and work for his company. But he had to go. I glad someone else can have this tho.
Good on that one OP for getting away from (and sticking it to) their abusive mother. That was horrible to hear about, but pretty satisfying when the comeuppance commenced.
the footwear thing, when the lady saw the graduation boots, op shouldve said: "they come in white too"
That first story.. really hits home for me.

For the past 11 days in a row I keep clicking on the video when it was posted 4 minutes ago. WITHOUT FAIL
I love the moments where you break into a chuckle before narrating something : D
I clicked faster than my girlfriends temper 😂❤

Baraubon frick i made a mistake thx for pointing it out
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' I can agree to that.
Damn, I'm really early yet I couldn't say "nice" for "69 likes"? *What happened to my luck?*

The best way to teach your kids to read isn't to sit them at a desk and play tricks with their heads. No, not even if you do it like a real school and not first OP's mom's crazy Agatha Trunchbull impression. What's the best way? Just read to them. My parents never gave me reading lessons.
