They are in a loving home really, the shelter is right next to the house, and the design is great for Cambodian climate. Also remember, many of these cats have incurable viruses like FIV, FelV, Calicivirus, maybe FIP too, and also came in with infections like Chlamydia, and cat flu, etc, so they really should not be allowed to wander with street cats, or other animals. This isn't perfect, but I think it's a very, very good solution for the cats they rescue, because they are going to be fragile their whole lives. My local rescue here in UK has a few cats at the moment with Calicivirus and FiV, and it's hard to find families to adopt them and accept that they will likely have bit vet bills for the whole kitty's life. So I imagine it's much harder in Cambodia. :) Please, don't be sad for these kitties, they really are the lucky ones, they are safe, comfortable, they are a happy together and have all the food and medical treatment they will ever need. 😊😻♥ xxx
