I loved Kingdom Hearts 3 critical level one. It was honestly a very rewarding experience despite the problems it may have. I had so much fun!
I've been trying very hard to provide content and upload more frequently! I hope to be really good about that in year 2020.

Watching you play throughout level 1 with the Keyblade Graveyard was an incredible time, Sarah. I'm sad I couldn't watch you play throughout the Disney Worlds earlier as you started this challenge, but the clips provided to a few of them seemed like enough and were quite enjoyable for me. KH3 on critical mode level 1 is definitely no joke and a wild ride. I thank you so much for even giving me the inspiration to getting through it with Ultima only as well. Also, I still need to try playing KH2 on critical level 1 myself. KH3 was my first time even attempting such a challenge with level 1, but I can probably say that I agree 100% about loving the combat style more in 3 than with 2. Much love, dear. ♡

I just went from kh2 directly to playing kh3 both on critical.
Peoples nostalgia boner for kh2 is insane, I love kh2 but kh3 improves almost every aspect of the game leaps and bounds.

Critical really makes KH3 a lot better tbh. I beat Critical yesterday for the first time although it wasn't Level 1...and I used Ultima Weapon. Was a blast.
Kudos!! I've not done it on level 1, but I did do critical mode (although i didn't use cuisine or block just because I was lazy which did made the game harder than need be) but I did use the ultima weapon and yes, it was amazing!! Also great job!!

Someone already said it, but the last thing you need to apologize for is liking the combat..... whether you prefer 2 or 3, you’re allowed to enjoy whatever you enjoy the best for whatever reason, and 3 is my favorite in the series too..... and i’m also someone who’s played to the extreme with critical level 1 on KH2 &3. :)

I wish you could do at least X and triangle for the Khux integration part. I can’t wait to see what things the DLC adds. Excited for it no matter what people think about Kh3, I enjoyed it.

Congratulations on that accomplishment. I myself won't attempt Critical mode especially at level 1 mainly because i get easily frustrated and mad to the point of raging and throwing my controller across the room when i lose at video games. Some of the bosses were annoyingly frustrating on normal difficulty.
It's impressive that you beat the game on Critical mode at level 1.
Also enemies doing more damage on harder difficulty modes in any video game is not creative to me.

@@noahpauley But did yoy take away your kupo coins and cuisine? Underwater Xehanort was hard but I got through him. But by the time I did... I didn't have enough energy to do Air armored Xehanort. X-Blade Xehanort isn't a challenge to me but the armored fight is demonic

Unconfirmed sources state that when Oblivion and Oathkeeper are patched into the game, you unlock Oblivion by beating the game on Critical Mode, so... congratulations! You earn Oblivion!

Honestly, the most difficult fight when I played kh3 crit lvl 1 was terranort and vanitas. oh ... my... GOD. i just could NOT get a handle on that fight. i was trying so hard to get vanitas first but terra just freakin bulldozed into me off camera like CANWENOT!?!? lol. oh man ... that fight was exhausting to me.
but also i agree with the comments don't apologize for your opinion! the combat in 3 is SO fun! and Merry Christmas Sarah!
Yeah, that fight was just a touch easier for me than the Nort Court but an EASY runner up, no other KG fight came close to those two. Especially since the Saix fight is practically a freebie, just stand back and let Roxas babyshake the crap out of him lol.

I don't care about the popular opinion I played every single (Playable in ALL IN ONE) Kingdom Hearts last year for the first time which means I have no bias and therefor my opinion is superior!
Jk, obviously like what you like! But I think KH 3 is the best game in the series. I just adored how it didn't feel like you were powered down and you feel like all the experience you got doing all the other games mattered so when you start Olympus you feel like you're the most awesome you've been in the series and it escalates from there. So yeah I guess it's kind of "easier" but I also feel like that is because they are only building on the previous games instead of having their own new system like the others did.
So yeah, since I beat KH2, BBS, and DDD on Proud it felt super natural to jump into KH3, where it took me a while to get into those games in particular since they felt unfamiliar. Like yeah, I died the least in KH3, but I didn't die less than when I replayed KH2 on Critical. All in all KH is dope KH3 is my game of the year, and Re:Mind looks sick!

The Monster's Inc. boss first phase is chip damage by design. The first phase is designed for you to do burst damage (like the popular strat with Mirage Staff clones) to get around his massive defense (and also the boss in all phases is weak to Blizzard magic, which makes the Arendelle keyblade really good).
Then, around 2-3 bars, when he goes into second phase, you can go ham since he takes full damage from all damage types. A lot of people either waste their time in second phase or immediately end it with Goofy Bombardier which will lead to the fight taking forever because they're only fighting him when he's stacked on defense.

I'm gonna keep on ringing the 'you should look into Grandia' bell for a while I guess. It's great. One of the best battle systems in a turn based JRPG, if not the best. Reminds me of KH in tone a bit. Sora reminds me a bit of Justin. Great characters. Simple but well executed plot. Sadly some terrible (but kind of charming) voice acting. But such a fun ride. Pretty easy though. Anyway, merry Christmas. Oh, and Chrono Trigger is another classic worth a play through.
@7:32-7:35 Yep that’s definitely a glitch. What’s I find confusing about that audio bug is I don’t think that happens in a JP version of the game. Or maybe it can happen in the JP version but I didn’t die enough times on the Anti-Aqua fight too much.
Also, congrats on completing critical mode on level 1. Now just wait for the superbosses to be added in the Re:Mind DLC.

I played Proud Mode lvl 1 before Critical Mode came out in the update, gotta say I'm still satisfied with the challenge due to the fact that it had more of a difficulty than Critical Mode lvl 1 only due to the damage Sora does in the different modes, Proud Mode lvl 1 felt so slow due to the normal damage cap but Crit gives a boost in attack dmg, but regardless congratulations, wish there was an award for such a challenge

I made a mistake one time on another stream and forgot to put "background story cutscenes" for the movie of union cross about MoM and the foretellers since it is its own thing but is apart of the chi story... (why I can't remember the name of the movie now idk)

I started my level 1 critical playthrough a couple weeks ago. I'm currently on monsters inc and the black goo thing makes me want to commit
Fyi too all the people who have a problem with chip damage in crit lvl 1there kind of a solution to that n’ it’s very simple, you have to start upgrading your key blades. Critical mode level 1 forces you too play the game as an actual rpg via leveling up, farming, scavenging items, etc. Also I’ve noticed their are differences if you choose certain attributes at the beginning of the game, like, if you chose wisdom/path of the mystic you’re stats are heavy on magic and lack in actual strength, so on and so forth. I do agree with you tho the chip damage can be tweaked at least a little bit.

Just like I'd say that Kingdom Hearts - Dream Drop Distance needed a bar/limiter for the flowmotion. At least because of the physics/way it was made. The combat would less ridiculous/spamming that way.
Unlocking the unlimited Flow Motion as an activate-deactivate option after beating the game (if anything).

Me:dies million times on bosses in kh2 before moving on on proud mode.
Like i swear, i died at least 15 times on the first boss as roxas in kh2. But playing on proud made me realize you cant just wack your way through. Like in that fight you gotta do reversal perfectly and not take hits. But i suck at implementing techs and diff strats compared to what i see on youtube. I dont think like that but i wish i could.
Yknow as much as i'd like to, i dont think id ever be cut out for those crit lvl 1s or crit in general. Nah not the way im going with kh2. Also congrats sarah key youre a good player.

Happy holidays! It isn't as good as kh2's crit from a raw gameplay standpoint, but way more fun.
KH3 is an easier game as a whole. The flashy combat is really satisfying as a guilty pleasure. I just have a penchant for bad games.
FFXIII, RE6 and KH3 are my favorite games lol.
However, do try to give the game a fresh lvl1 without ultima, (dlc KB's are fine imo), ruins the experience of a true lvl1.
Using ultima didn’t necessarily make my run easier though. I ONLY used it so I couldn’t even switch keyblades to stack transformations which would have actually been more OP.

I guess so, also given the fact Ultima's stats reset, I kinda see how it would balance it.
Still give a fresh lvl1 run a shot. KH runs at lvl1 are where it's at, and good luck if you do! You really grow an appreciation for the combat of this game once you become a sole lvl1 runner.

Have you ever played the Legend of Dragoon game? It's my favorite rpg of all time, even over most of Square games. It's a bit more in depth combat wise in comparison to most turn based rpg so be warned going in! But if you ever do get to play it us, I promise you won't regret it.
