One of the best ever. Theres only one Wayne Rooney !!! We will never get a player as good as you were. Wish you were still at man utd as you are still one of the best in the world. You may not be as good as you once were but still got the magic to change a game. We miss you legend 💔💔💔😭😭😭 #goat #waynerooney #manchesterunited #thegreatestofalltime #legendofthegame

Probably the best player England ever had, those 3 metatarsal injuries were devastating. At his peak didn't have a single weakness to his game. High football IQ, pace, acceleration, technique, strength and power, passing range, heading, set pieces, finishing, versatility, cuteness, work rate, positional and tactical sense, attitude, stamina, mentality, big game performances. Played too many games, peaked too early, wasn't the best professional off the pitch which didn't help his longevity. Such a shame that his England years were wasted on bad managers.

Spot on. His longevity also wasn't helped by his particular body type.

How the fuck did England not win a world cup with this lad up front.
Such a shame, Rooney was truly world class.

Same here Bro. He was worldclass but the other 10 less so. Perhaps if England had Pep as coach back then, probably England could have won 1-2 World Cups. Now United are realizing just what they are lacking in the current team?

Sadly, Wayne had injuries every major tournament.
