@12:07 This is why you PAY UP to get a good home inspector to check the house. Overgrowth on or near the compressor as well as a damp and filthy crawlspace are generally good signs that the previous homeowner did NOT take care of their home. Or worse, it's owned by an "investor" that rented out the home and you KNOW it hasn't been taken care well at all.
💃well.. Thank you for this detailed video I feel much better about the crud-thick-dust in my HVAC..as I had been one of the ding-dongs in home maintenance... And now can release that title
You need to get that thing boxed up like a football jersey in an acrylic case and put it on the office wall. And you become Mikey Arborist. (watching and commenting as i go lol). I was yelling at the screen "TAKE THE OTHER ONE OUT! LOL!" all love!
What a piece of you know what it all needs to be replaced but they’re still in the house so they won’t do anything to pass it on to the new owners nice
Be careful customers, if you have a air handler in the attic and you run the unit with fan on and cooling off to thaw a frozen coil sometimes it can thaw faster than the drain will get rid of the water and cause some flooding/ water damage. I always recommend if you know the the system is frozen “typically because you can visually see ice or you notice a significant lack of airflow “. Turn the cooling off, give it time to thaw. Check and change filter and if your filter looks like this one did… you’ll need to do a cleaning on the inside of the evaporator coil also! 👍🏻
🤷🏻 just personal experience! I have told customers to turn cooling off and fan on just to speed up the thawing process only to get there and find the air handler and emergency drain pan completely full and spilling over into the attic space. Lol by all means thaw your ice however you like!
My a/c I change my filters every 60 days and it still doesn’t cool right. The builder had come to put more refrigerant in it and 30 days later it’s back to not cooling. I have a person coming next week because it’s too hot in Texas for this lol.
@@PipeDoctor yes I spray them with water every now and again when I water my grass. The air at the top of the machine is never hot like they told me it should be so I think it’s just something wrong overall
One of my rentals has a 3 ton Tempstar unit from 1992. Has never had a single repair done on it since at least 1998 and has always worked well. Current tenants don’t use it much, so when they turned it on for the first time this year last week, the breaker tripped at the breaker panel. Think it’s the compressor that’s gone bad finally?
Mike since you are licensed in New York can you just take the test in Florida since your already licensed? Thanks new business owner here in NC. Love the videos.
We had a Radio Announcer in St. Louis who used to Tell a number of Listeners that you Can’t Fix Stupid. If you Can’t Remember to Change your Filter ? 🤪👎
OMG this video MIGHT just save me. I forgot to change my filter and is pretty bad...not AS bad 😂 anyway Im too damn busy and I just forget. So I'm gonna try the cool to off and On from auto for the fan and hope that works cus it's staying on 83 ...in FLORIDA. IM DYING. HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP THE FAN on ON before I can go ahead and put it regular cool/auto ????
That Filter is the New Winner! 🤪👎 I’m a little Surprised the Homeowner didn’t Ask if the Filter could be Hosed Off outside. 🤪👎 Year 2016 for Last Maintenance. 🤔
What’s up Mikey pikes what’s going on with your mic your pipes you’re right you for a change the air filter light flow Traciann outfielders now that you got to change the air filter. Man... These "homeowners" (by NAME only most of the time) do NOT take care of their critical appliances of their home. And if you're in the market to buy a used home (which are OVERPRICED btw) you'll see this kind of crap.
@@PipeDoctor exactly!! lol, but the majority of vehicles have them now and have for years, many don't realize it. look in owners manual for location, often they're behind the glovebox and cover in a slot in the HVAC system. some are under a cowl panel below wiper arms or even under hood covers and panels. they mainly filter the outside air being brought into the vehicle. because who doesn't love leaf/dust/pollen blowing out their vents 🤪
Love the videos I just think that it was coincidence about the Schrader core. I don’t think that’s where the leaks at but they’re selling the house so who fucking cares, Mikey fucking pipes. Love you, dog no Homo.
@@PipeDoctor happens to me on about 3-4 yorks every year, damn Schrader core sticks, some break inside too so the just spin trying to come out, but hopefully you found it and saved the day, and hopefully the new homeowner some time to save for new system
Good one and I agree with the drop in is crap I find more chillers with messed up charge than anything else

Workin when it’s pouring rain. Get that money Mikey pipes.
It was 85 degrees at the gas station by my house yesterday. The filters in the ceiling are solid black. They have not been changed in over a year.
Nice weeds in the condenser. That’ll make it run well.
Starting early the awesome I start at 6:30

I want to see the air filter❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lol 😂
how is the coil upstairs not plugged up solid if the filter was in lazy homeowner bypass mode
That’s what you called the new green movement making the condensers all green😂😂😂😂😂

Dam Mike looks like the Vietnam unit in the bush.
how much for labor cost here quite curios .. if they are already paying a grand for r22
Not using a drop in is just an excuse for more money for r22 or to replace whole unit.many drop ins work great ,and nowhere the price of r22
The only oil around is your r22 for 250.00 a pound

Disconnect the compressor and start up to see if it trips or not than you’ll know
You should call a technician before you hurt yourself.
4:37 My goodness...
Mikes bushwhacker services. 😂
the coil must be dirty inside unit

No deep fakes!
I'll say it again, PURE LAZINESS
My filter clean in my central air, but I have dust bad on my living room coffee stand, why ?
replace your housekeeper
we charge 375 per pound of r22 in orlando no drop ins
We charge $2k to scratch our ass and pick our nose in Orlando. It’s way more lucrative.
You have trees that's all could be said there
That was a really expensive service call. Nice good job making lots of money.
Mikey Why does the R22 system live longer without problems compared to the R410?
Mikey hit that on the head with lower pressures. Manufacturing process and parts.
Change my filter once a month
Find any 🍕 pizza in the ac units?

Those people should live in an apartment or condo. They aren't homeowner material.
When was the last time you changed the transmission filter in your service van?
