I absolutely loved the video and tutorial. Very informative. BTW, for all the negative Nancy's out there, if you can't reply with a positive comment -- then don't comment. There's enough negativity out there. You can always stop the You Tube if it is not to your taste and avoid insulting comments. 😉
Brendaelaine Waddell You’re a ray of sunshine Brendaelaine! I’m delighted the video was helpful... thanks for your sweet comments! ❤️ Hope you have lots of fun trying the technique with your dies😊
Thanks so much for demonstrating this technique! I saw the mat in the catalog but didn't think I needed this. Both cards are gorgeous as well.I'll have to add to my next order lolol😍☺😀
Love the video! I see this video was made awhile ago but do they still make the blue silicone mat? I ordered the emboss and transfer set but it only has the gray silicone rubber and impressions pad.
Thanks Sandra... delighted it was helpful! The blue silicone mat retired several years ago, but Sizzix makes one that can easily be found online and works on our machine, as well as most others. Have fun!
I appreciate your detailed instructions! I never knew this could be done! Will the Stampin Up silicone craft sheet work in place of the Sizzix silicone rubber mat?
Delighted it was helpful Deborah! You can use the Silicone Craft Sheet, however you'll need to use one cutting plate and add shims to make up the difference in your sandwich... it's quite a bit thinner than the Embossing Mat shown in the video. PS. Sizzix offers a Silicone Rubber Embossing Mat (they made the one Stampin' Up! offered years ago). Have fun playing!
Hi Rhea! The thicker gray mat is used when you want to cut AND emboss with a die. Cut as normal, then before removing the paper from the die place the die cut side up with the thick gray mat and white Impressions Pad on top, then run back through the machine. Voila'!❤ The total 'sandwich' for the second step is: standard platform, standard cutting pad, die with paper still in it from previous cut [face up], Gray Silicone Mat (thick) and White Impressions Pad. It's helpful for example with leaves -where you cut the outside shape and want the veins or ejection holes to be embossed. Have fun! :)
Thank you for the helpful video. I will not subscribe, because I do not subscribe to any Stampin Up channels. The reason, I can't stand how you all have to use the names of everything. Instead of just saying white cardstock for example, you have to say Very Vanilla, or Night of Navy instead of dark blue. It drives me nuts.
Thank you Tammy! You are such a wonderful teacher!
You’re so sweet Rosemarie! ❤️
I hope you’re having fun learning some new ideas!

Just found your video - does Stampin up still sell this product for big shot machine?
Sizzix still offers them; you can get them at various places online. Thanks for watching ❤️
